From what I have gathered it goes into game mode to decrease latency and I have noticed the washed out colours as well but from what I have read it is in order to reduce input lag. There is no drop in resolution but rather colour accuracy.

@IM6LEX - You'll need to adjust your PlayStation's HDR settings first. Look around because there are videos that explain how to get those 3 settings right. Then bring down the brightness on your television. You'll also need adjust contrast, sharpness and color. Don't leave the settings at the default because the image looks horrible. Reply here if you want me to share my settings as I have my image dialed in pretty well with no adverse impact to lag.

I want to get this TV, but is there a way to go into settings and change it so that it goes to a certain HDMI input when it turns on instead of going directly to the home screen? Most devices when you turn them on will make the tv go straight to that hdmi such as when I turn on an Apple TV or ps5 it goes directly to that hdmi.

Great, but how can i activate VRR for native apps within Google tv :D It's amazing that VRR works for external devices connected via hdmi, but doesn't work on the TV's own content!

@denysostapenko445 - He may have misspoken, you absolutely do need an HDMI 2.1 cable to get 4K at 120 Hz.

Hey, I have this same TV but 1440p is not supported… is there any way I can solve this issue? GT7 just included a 120fps update and 1440p max resolution so I kind of want to try that out, and if there’s not solution why is it possible to do 2160p but not 1440? Thanks a lot.

The tv is a 4K tv meaning 2160p is it’s native resolution. At this point 1440p is not supported by this tv

This is an old video, but I have the latest Sony TVBravia X90L and my games will not work in 4K, 120 Hz with the VRR enabled. The VRR works but only in 1080p. External hdmi is set to VRR. Why? It’s a 75inch tv and I am using the ps5 cable

If you connect a gaming console to it in order to get the lowest latency and to enable vrr you have to set the picture profile to game mode. It doesn’t really change the picture quality in my experience it still looks amazing
