I have been using record rack feed for years but when i want to set up a feeder what i do is set up the feeder frist my be 15 to 20 yards away from the feeder just dump out a few lbs of corn on the ground and do this for a week or so then just start putting the corn around the feeder. Set up a trail cam to see how the deer are taking it. Then ill start off with the deer nuggets in the feeder then when they get use of eating out of it i start adding the deer & elk feed. Works every time. Winter months i use around 200lbs of feed every 2 weeks when it starts to warm the numbers drop then thats when i go back to the nuggets. Only have 16 acres but the deer keep me busy. "Warning do not hunt over your feeders"
