I did all of that but when I pressed start up settings it said "Automatic repair" Your pc did not start correctly Press restart to restart the pc (which I did) which can sometimes fix the problem you can also press advanced options to try other options to repair your pc

The 3X Start/Off method didn't work for me. When it started the "Automatic Repair", it detected a HDD failure, which I already knew about, and it automatically started the procedure to Repair my HDD without asking me. But I specifically DON'T want to do that. All I want is a Command window so I can xcopy certain directories (folders) to a USB HDD for Backup. UPDATE: Success: I finally was able to use the second method you showed, (holding the SHFT key down) to get to a Command window, and it's copying my files now. I hope it gets everything. Thanks for this video.

Or you could just open the system configuration program, select the boot tab, and click the Safe Mode box, and when you're done in safe mode, open the system configuration program again, and deselect the Safe Mode box.

after it's done with the automatic repair, it never says "diagnosing your pc" and it just goes to a black screen with a mouse cursor edit: so i had a dead hard drive, i just bought a new one, replaced it and loaded windows 10 from a sd card.

You can't bypass the password like this. Search online, there are ways to remove the password.

Please do not understand the first step to enter. Can you type the kibor commands in a special comment, cut down the kibor symbols that allowed you to enter the safe step

There are no special keyboard commands, just follow the menus. To first enter the menus you need to force shut down the computer 3 times when Windows is loading.

Won't Win10 get angry at you for aborting the start up? And is there another way, like using Update and Recovery to enter that boot choice window. I do not know so I am asking. Windows seems to be so fragile, as a side note i am testing Ubuntu 18.04 and it the first Ubuntu that I enjoy. ... well that will teach me to comment before you are finished... sorry... Hi, thanks for the tutorial. I followed all your steps, but my system won't get to the blue safe mode part; it keeps freezing at automatic repair/diagnosing PC. In previous attempts at a regular start up, a blue screen (error) shows up with the following message: tdr failure nvlddmkm.sys (I looked it up and i'ts a video card problem. I already cleaned the hardware but i think i have to update it). This error was also the main reason for this whole reboot thing. It randomly occured while watching a yt video. I desperately want to get to the safe mode part. I have Windows 10 also. Any suggestions would help! Thanks ;) My pc is relatively old, its from 2011. EDIT: I passed the Safe mode part (option 4), but it froze on the windows logo screen and I shut the PC off after 15 minutes.After trying multiple times blue "automatic repair" only shows "repair" or "cancel". No "advanced options".

l@@white_pirate2336 lol i already fixed it, basically what i did i downloaded a virus and when i tried to log back in the computer it wouldnt let me, so i wanted to format my computer but the problem was that when i went into format mode the screen just showed no cable signal connection and i couldnt see anything, so i tried anything for couple of hours before almost giving up. i wanted to go to a repair shop and waste my money but i tried one last thing. when the no cable signal connection screen was on, i just pressed enter and at the same time i was looking at the video so i made sure i was presseing enter on the right place and after that it erased everything from my hard drive and my computer is now fine, and my computer works perfectly. the virus sat on my C hard drive and i erased it and now my computer is fixed thats basically how i did it without wasting any money lol
