And if the previous owner removed the rear key hole you used to get in the trunk? My lock is gone. Not sure if the owner or a thief removed it, but I'm thinking the previous owner did because there's no damage to the surrounding plastic like a snatch bar would cause, and the hole is perfectly round with no jagged edges. Either way - how do I get in with an unresponsive key fob if I can't manually open the trunk?

Just found you on KZbin and subscribe. I first like to thank you for your service and it was heartfelt about your all your loss that you have experienced. You're a brave person. I have a question. I'm in my early 70s and I've always wanted a Corvette. I have a budget of around 36,000 $46,000 max and received the OK from my wife Lol.! My requirements would be an automatic because I'm getting old, love the two-tone seats and bigger rims. I could live with any horsepower that's decent. First, what do you think I can afford with this budget and your vehicle model recommendation. Obviously this will be my toy car using it no more than 4000 miles a year. I would appreciate your help. BTW I was a Paratrooper during Vietnam era and served with the 509th Airborne infantry. Also stationed with the Ranger unit at Fort Stewart Ga. Jumped out of just about everything C130s, C141, UH-1 and even a balloon while attending Belgium commander school. Stayed in the military for eight years. I'm a retired Court Officer . I also receive a small stipend from the military for injuries that occurred during my time in service. My family has been serving in the military since July 17, 1775. I'm past commander of the American Legion post 128, member of the Sons of the American Revolution, past National commander of the 509th parachute infantry Association and lifetime member and Chaplin of the DAV. Wow, thank you for your service to our country. People like you I can just sit around and talk with all day. You helped set the military up for my success. Because of the things you did during your time of service, the military changed and made it better for my generation. I can also trace my fathers and grandfather back to the American Revolution and the Civil War. Seems I have one or the other in ever single American war. My father was 82nd Air Born during Korea and Vietnam. You and I just have it in our blood. I would get a nice C7 Corvette because of the reliability. No worries about it breaking down and a very solid car as long as it was not raced. For 36 - 46K you can get a very nice 2014 --2016 C7 Corvette. My 2014 C7 Corvette convertible is valued at around 36K so I am sure you can find a great deal for that kind of money. If you do some good shopping you may even be able to get a 2017. I like the C7 Corvette because it is very comfortable to drive but it still gives a sports-car feel. Make sure you test drive the car so you know how low it is to the ground. I even have some difficulty getting in and out of the car at my age. Make sure the center NAV screen is working well and no issues driving. By the way, do get one with GPS on the center NAV screen and head up display in the driver windshield. Enjoy friend and comrade in arms.

I have a question . Since I live in New Jersey and when I do finally buy my C7 could I put all season tires on it. ? Maybe you can produce a video driving a Corvette in rain or light snow. I would most likely keep my vet in the garage and use my SUV during inclement weather. But just in case I got caught up here in the north wow it's lightly snowing.! Thanks, Joe

I drive in Texas and use the C7 Corvette as my everyday car so I use all weather because of possible heavy rain falls. If in snow or cold weather I would also use the all weather tire. However, if only used as a Sunday car in good weather, I would use the factory type tires. I hope this helps friend. Hop

I live in NYC and use my 2019 C7 as a everyday car unless it snows real bad. I have 2 sets of tires. Winter and Summer/run flats. I swap them out around May and November. The dealer lied to me and told me I can use one set of tires. If you use the wrong set of tires at the wrong time of year it's like driving on glass and can cause an accident. You will notice the difference because of temperature change. Hoe this helps.
