First of all thank you so much for the information that you provided here! they are so useful. I have a quick question about this process. While apply for EB2 case, I filed my I-765 along with I-131 application at the end of February. As we know USCIS is issuing EAD and AP separately these days, maybe that was the reason I received EAD without AP. They say Travel Doc will come in next 2 or 3 month but I really need to leave USA because of the medical reasons. Can I ask USCIS for an expedite approval of I-131? or is it going to be an Emergency Advance Parole?

Typically expedited processing does cost more, for things like I-485 applications, but I'm not sure that these additional steps cost more than the regular I131 filling fee. Calling USCIS/ making an InfoPass appointment is free.

Hi Mr. Tsang! I have already given the fingerprints, 3 months after I filed the i-485, with priority date July 30 2021. I am still waiting for my Advance Parole to be approved and last status is "show that fingerprints were taken", on August 19 2022. Can I leave the US and have someone mail me the Advance Parole document overseas so I can return to make the i-485 interview later on, or if I leave without Advance Parole approve that will jeopardize my already approved i-140 and pending i-485 petitions? I've been in the US for 3 years and haven't been able to travel because of covid travel ban and then because of pending i-485 and i-131. Thank you.

Good day! I’m going back to the US this December to file the re entry permit, would it be advisable for relatives to mail the I-131 a month before I get to the country so I’m in the country to take biometrics? Thank you for your question! Do not leave the U.S. without the Advance Parole! If you leave the U.S with a pending I-485, without an Advance Parole document, your I-485 application will be considered abandoned and you'll have to start a new application. (It does not matter that you have a valid visa) You could expedite your I-131 if the reason you are leaving the U.S is critical, but that option requires careful planning and building your case.
