I’m in 🤙🤙 What tools did you take, if any? Also what would be your suggestion for tyres for Fraser? I’m on a CRF300 Rally.

Just my normal tool kit in the fender bag and a couple of spare tubes. You could probably do it on any 50/50 tyre but maybe something a bit more aggressive it better 👍🏼

My bike is too nice to take to Fraser.. that's what my 4by is for 😂 plus I'd probably blow both of my knees out standing up all the time (if my pegs don't fail first, haha)

Do you think a Honda Xr650R is a good starter bike? I’ve got one and I’m not sure how it would go doing stuff like this. Like would it be too heavy you reckon?

Any bike is better than no bike I guess 🤷🏼‍♂️. I think the XR could definitely do the job. Just depends on the rider I suppose mate. Seen a DR650 and a T7 on Fraser while I was there so the XR wouldn’t look out of place.

Just keep out of the salt water where you can and make sure you give your bike a really good wash after you get back. Should be fine

I’ve done 2 bike camping trips to Noosa/rainbow/di on my xt660r but it’s a serious wrestle in the soft stuff and inland tracks. Would love to do Fraser soon. Great vids mate

Hey Josh, awesome video's! I'm planning on going there some time soon, but I was wondering what the minimal requirements for bikes are on the island. Are adventure bikes or enduro's a must or can I get around on a scrambler? I'm looking to buy a Husky Svartpilen 401 (which is admiddetly more of a road bike with off-road tires) but I'm open to other suggestions. Keep up te great videos!

If it’s low tide you could almost ride anything along the hard sand but I would say you’d want something with a 21 inch front wheel, so your enduros and adventure bikes are better suited. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible but I personally wouldn’t do it. A light enduro type bike would bring the most fun for riding the sand.
