Not bad! :O I actually ordered BatteryBank charger for my Nikon. It only charges the battery at 5v but I'm always using 2 batteries so while I'm using the other the empty one is charging. Great video and funny too! :)

My simpler solution was to buy 2 off brand batteries with a USB double canon battery charger for 20 bucks on amazon and have it in my backpack with my 20 000 mAh usb Powerbank Whenever the battery in my dslr is empty, I swap it with one of the charged ones in the charger and that's it. Much more practical as you don't have a wire but I get that your solution is perfect for things like timelapses

The Video was informative and interesting. I got the XTPower and also a dummy load battery and it worked together well without having to make a connector and having to solder. But it was nice to see how you did it. Using just one hand to open the package drove me crazy! I know you had to use the other hand to work the camera but it was difficult to watch,lol.

+Antonio Rivera thanks :D it was very fun to handle that package one handed

That battery is a bit expensive, you could get a 20,000mah 5v bank off of ebay for less then half the price and add in a 9v step up converter, which is what i think im going to do (and also use it for a homemade automated slider). I did not know the d3300 accepted 9v at the beginning of this video (i should have looked on the bottom). Thanks!
@BorysDIY8 жыл бұрын
+Grim187 agree with your idea! Its amazing and you won't have the problem of automatic shut down of the battery. I recommend you to connect the voltage booster directly to the battery and not to the 5v output, you will increase the efficiency. My later idea was to make a 7,4v lithium battery and connect it directly. Anyway good work and make it better!

+Jasenko Stojakovic (Jason) of course it depends on your camera. Usually this dummy battery is used with an external power brick to have power from the wall. In the beginning i was searching too, but nothing. I had to improvise
