Fusionlord1.... good question- If I understand what you are asking... you can either print off a face from the computer- put a piece of tracing paper over it and practice your application OR there are "practice Heads" available for purchase. some times hair/ barbering schools throw them out and you can use those heads too. Hope that helps

@playgroundtown Hi... i don't recommend this system for that reason. They need to wait in line.... It is the only way to really be fair. Fairs are a hard place to have a sign up sheet... save it for small parties. Your assistance can help with keeping line control and reminding everyone of how long each design takes so they know about how long to expect to wait,...... etc. Congrats on the feedback!

What is the cheapest way/place to buy snazaroo face paint for someone who is just getting started in the business?

Alexis Ericksen, Michaels craft store has snazaroo, and you can use their coupons to get it cheaper. With that said, they tend to be waxier and harder to work with. Go to www.facepaintforumshop.com, they have a huge selection of face paint and supplies. They have some paints relatively inexpensive. You should buy a black, white, and then a couple split cakes. You can get away with a One-Stroke true Rainbow, and then get a couple 50g split cakes. These are higher quality and will give you a better idea if you truly want to face paint. If you start out with crappy supplies and they don't work well, you will think you aren't any good. You can get popular colors in a split cake and use your brush to use one color at a time or a wider brush to pick up several colors. Buy a variety pack of brushes from Michaels, don't buy the ones out of the kids section. They have a section by the stencils and acrylic paints. They are middle of the road. LisaJoyYoung has some AMAZING tutorials and explains in good detail. I hope all of this was really helpful Alexis! Happy Painting and good luck!!!! Don't use craft glitter!! Hello everyone- Thank you so much for your comments. I am still learning this youtube "thang" so please forgive me if my responses are so slow. As for the paint I am using in the video- Mehron and Wolfe ... Truly I don't not support ANY one brand ... If you can find it locally or on sale... most of them are great and usable. As long as the are "make up" grade. My butterflies now are SOOOO different.

Jennifer Hernandez Hi Jennifer... Sorry, yes ... mostly Mehron... though all the two basic forms of make up- waxy or creme based will work. Find one company that has a samplette pallette and you can find the one you like best. generally the creme ones go under the waxy ones....hope that helps?

Thank you for all the posting. I did want to tell you that because the glitter is "Cosmetic Grade" and not craft glitter- you can safely use it around the mouth and eyes... - be careful still not to get in the eye! - it is inert and will pass without harming the body. @SmilesEnt I use Snazaroo paints, but I also use Diamond FX, I find Diamond FX to be a much better brand, as the pigments are quite high. But this brand is also more expensive. Snazaroo is a great product to start out with, the colours are great, but the black Snazaroo paint is absolutely... "CRAP", it melts and it doesn't apply nicely.

I got my back painted at overnight camp in Poland ontario I got my back painted like all different colors it was a mystery by a girl face painter it took her 1 hour to paint my back it was fancy scenery of all different things and wildlife I liked it. It was in 2000. The girl was 16 years old. I was 17.
