Do you have any advice for when your mind wont slow down? My brain creates imaginary problems that I feel like i have to solve mentally - weird things like folding washing or something. I have to remind myself it's not real and doesnt need to be done! I find the only way to silence it is to pkay a podcast or youtube episode of people talking. Do you have any tips on how to address or improve this?

thank you so much for making this video! Its my birthday tomorrow and i got to sleep, but then i woke up and I've been trying to get back to sleep for about 3-4 hours and ive just been awake but asleep

I wake up at 12 am every night And can't fall back asleep.I'm not even tired.I feel super defeated

I'm witnessing a real contradiction here: most sleep theory tells me to get out of bed if I'm awake for more than 15 minutes, because you don't want to train your brain/nervous system/body to be awake in bed... you always want the body to know that it is sleep time when you lay in bed; bed is for sleeping only. So now the dilemma... which of these datums are correct... stay in bed/get out of bed?

Yeah I think if its been hours awake get out of bed sit down and read under a red reading light

There is a difference... and that is your mind. When you feel relaxed (mind & body) on your bed, stay in there comfy and naturally maintain slow breathing and keep your eyes closed. However, when your mind is constantly racing or bringing up thoughts that amp you up even after you've tried to clear your mind, get up from the bed; Levez vous!😄😊
