Solid how to technique by taking off the shoe and showing foot placement on the board. You are a natural teach.

Good video. Feeble grinds are so easy for me on transition but they scare the hell out of me on flat bars and rails. Time for me to step it up!!

Thank you so much for explaining the foot placement while grinding. This helped alot and I finally got them consistent on square rails. You are a big help.

Thank you for this! Definitely noticed during your tutorial that I've been focusing most of my weight/pressure on the ball and front of my foot rather than towards my heel for a long time (probably why I always cheater 180. Haha). Gonna tinker with this one for sure. Thanks again, and keep shredding!

I've really let my grind game suffer, I mostly skate transition(a planter box style quarter pipe thing) and do no complys. I should really work on my grinds and tricks that require actual pop. I used to be good at front smiths but wasn't ever consistent with back feebles because I was too used to doing smiths. Maybe it's a good time to relearn both properly since I'm not great at either at this point.

I heard a story that they were called feeble grinds because the guy who invented them (or who made them popular) was a really skinny guy and since his buddies nicknamed him feeble, they named the grind after him! I'll need to check that, I'm not super sure about all that
@ps56226 жыл бұрын
Just checked, that's from wikipedia : "The name feeble grind came from Josh Nelson's friend and fellow skateboarder Sean Donnelley. Sean used to call Josh "the feeb" which was short for feeble, because Nelson was so skinny and often had broken limbs and injuries from skateboarding" but your explanation would also make sense I guess!

Noticed the modus sticker, what's that from? I use modus hardware on all my decks, but actually just this weekend got some modus "titanium" bearings to try out. No impressions so far. They're definitely bearings. Anyhow, they all come with that same sticker, so I have a ton of them. Curious where you got yours.
@bendegros6 жыл бұрын
It's from some bearings someone sent me. I have them on some really soft wheels so I can't tell if they are good or not. Like you said, they do seem to roll.

I would. They are more my style than most other shoes out there to be honest. But I know I will take a little heat for it. They look like one of the more innovative shoes out there right now. I'm really interested to see how that material skates.

Ben, what size wheel should i buy so that my board isnt so floppy with the flip tricks but isnt so small it will make it hard to lock in feeb grinds? (Right now I ride 57s)
@bendegros6 жыл бұрын
54 would be a good size. My flip tricks are still a bit floppy but manageable. Also they will wear down to 52's pretty quick.
@brazilnature7479 Жыл бұрын
I can grind them perfectly, but can’t get out! It always slips into a boardslide at the very end of the rail, either that or the board flips.

I struggle with only being able to come out of feebles to fakie. Never have I done a feeble to regular in all my years of doing that trick. I find myself locking in strange where I am more so on my toe side and can only sometimes shift my weight to my heel, usually by accident or just enough to give a good pop on the 180. any more tips on helping me come out to regular ?
@bendegros6 жыл бұрын
Maybe try to lean back enough to go into a 5-0 grind. Feeble to 5-0's are kind of tough but just trying to do that might get you leaning back enough to pull it off. It really just sounds like you need to lean back more and try to intentionally get your weight in that back pocket.
