I'm just seeing this now a decade removed. This head movement is literally the reason I box. The moment you slip a punch is utterly perfect. I don't even know how to describe it. Slipping one punch is like winning a chess match, or a board game. In that split second, you feel like the king of the world, like the other guy is nothing and you are everything. I've had a flow state where I slipped one, or two, or even three. But this? My man must have been on cloud nine. Forever jealous, total respect.
@Nightshadow3_78 ай бұрын
I think I know what kind of feeling you are talking about. The kind of feeling I used to get while getting past 3, 4, 5 players when I was playing football in my teenager days. Shame I never took it seriously and tried to go pro. Miss it.
@Nightshadow3_78 ай бұрын
Mind you, I am actually a good chess player. Like I would probably be rated 2000+ fide by now, can easily even get FM title if I wanted to, but I have never felt that kind of rush of adrenaline ( that I described above) during any of my chess games. 😂

It’s hard to recreate what this man’s does on the street in a ring with another boxer as there is far less space to move about and also a decent boxer will know how to set up punches by using feints and also footwork to cut off the ring, it’s definitely very impressive but I can’t imagine this guy could do the same thing in the ring with another boxer without taking a decent few blows

Funny that people always say "hell" like the best thing ever, but if you read the King James bible, hell is a place were people are tormented in flames, they ask for mercy, they are full of thirst and they want to warn their family so they do not end in the same place (Luc 16:19-31). That vocabulary is really stupid, and the only one that can teach hell like a good place is no other than the devil. So there you go, you got the speach of the devil, which is the biggest loser of the bible (Rev 20:10).

Amazing head movement and leg work! Evading punches this way is also extremely tiring though, I do this a lot in sparring and I end up being the more tired guy in many cases, so it's a great thing but you need to be in good shape to, otherwise after 45 seconds your lung will start burning up!

What our man is doing is very clever but it ISN"T SIMPLE : that kind of bobbing and weaving takes years to learn. He has fast reflexes plus he's reading the other guy's movement a split second ahead of him - that takes considerable skill. Respect to his abilities.

Great skills, huge talent backed up by hard work!! Aside from head movement it’s all about getting to your comfortable distance. First two guys have shorter reach so they couldn’t make any problems to him. Last guy did make some problems because he was in his comfortable range and used straight shots. I would use my footwork to get to my range, actively use fake shots, jabs and straight shots.

But start mixing in some knees and elbows...definitely makes dodging and slipping a LOT harder :D Ask the guys I put in the hospital ;P Guy's fast and skilled, though, no doubt about it. Had my neck and spine broken in multiple places from a car accident (girl texting and driving ran right through me at a Red Light, in the end, we can only control so much about our lives, do the best with the hand each of us were dealt), still, did months and months of healing and physical therapy, was able to walk again (not easy after 2 years and 8 months in a wheelchair, told I'd never get out of it -that just pi$$ed me off!), started boxing, knocked the hell out of the young, cocky Golden Gloves Cholos at our club. They thought they could beat any White Boy, none of the others stuck around (some of these kids have been boxing since they could first walk, definitely forced me to take my own game to another level). To be fair, in spite of not formally starting boxing until I was almost 40, I had a decent amount of...let's call them "self defense" moments when I was younger, was a Door Man for a while, changed schools a lot when I was younger, first couple of weeks always involved the standard pecking order scraps, and I'd studied a variety of other fighting styles, including some other forms of striking (sorry, won't tell which here, but the three styles that helped me the most all emphasized relaxed, heavy - sometimes whip-like, strikes, I'll let the reader figure out the best place to learn those kinds of things based on their own interests, life circumstances, and available trainers/schools in their area). Those heavy punches lifted those guys off their toes, drove them into the ropes, earned their respect, I had fun, often wound up running mini-clinics at the end of our sparring days, even our coaches wanted to know how I got so hard (in my experience, Cubans, Russians, Georgians, Indonesians, and Ukrainians have some good insight in that regards). No matter how good you get, though, getting cocky is be a bad idea, no matter how good you are. Everybody gets caught flat-footed or even over confident and lazy at some point, and unless you're a soldier, cop, or security guard, you're not gonna be wearing a bullet proof vest if you get jumped (and they're not knife proof, anyway), it's good to find people better than you and learn from them, keep sharpening your skills, constant evolving your tool kit. Good head movement is definitely one of those Tools worth having, full props to this cat, Trav, putting it on the line as well as sharing what he knows!

That was a good component in fighting and not every real fight has to end in someone being punched out. If you can outlast the other person in endurance, making them expend a lot more energy than you, you can get them to the point they just can't keep fighting you without your needing to knock them out.

When I was younger I used to get into fights all the time, used to consider myself pretty tough. Fought a few guys bigger then me. I got brought home one time by police and my mum went nuts. She said if I wanna fight she’s gonna put me in a boxing gym. I still thought I was a badass until I met my coach. Didn’t help that the old lady told him to teach me how strong I was.... went 10 mins of punching air and getting the little air left in me jabbed outta my lungs. From that day on I knew I was nothing in comparison to the other fighters in this world, still work out with my old coach and still find that lesson very valuable

Ray Rocco clearly you didn't understand that this video was meant for entertainment, and to get people to visit my website. Also, the reason why your "impressive" amount of streetfights happened in so close is because your footwork probably sucks balls.... and thanks for pointing out that one of the best boxers in the HISTORY OF THE WORLD would punch me a lot. What's with all these Internet Kung Fu master's being all judgmental. The DUDE LITERALLY GOT THE EVIDENCE, RECORDED IT, AND PUT IT SMACK DOWN RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU KNUCKLEHEADS. Seriously, last time I checked not getting hit was a pretty good way to not get knocked out in a fight. Geesshh. People, please learn how to comment intelligently, not with blatant jealousy for the fact that you still think watching Karate Kid is a good way to improve your skills.

@dalecrandell59059 жыл бұрын
Well, there's one thing wrong here. You said how to not get knocked out. This guy said how to win a street fight. More fundamentals are involved than just dodging. Assuming that you have the ability to dodge every punch thrown at you, you should have fundamentals to reciprocate the attack. But still... This isn't how you win a fight, this is, like you said, how to not get knocked out.
@1324DudeCool9 жыл бұрын
Dale Crandell If you don't get hit and the other person gives up, you win the fight.
@dalecrandell59059 жыл бұрын
And in a real fight your energy is based on adrenaline. Not some silly game some guy walks up to people for. Their also not just going to jab at you. That's how you win a boxing match. Not a street fight.
