Hi, we currently have a 40' fifth wheel with 3 ACs that draw 16 amps each while they're running and including the refrigerator, etc. we are looking at 50 amps total. How many Lithium batteries would be needed to power all at the same time continuously drawing the 50 amp for an 8 hour period? Thank you!

that would require 400ah minimum . however you do not want to be drawing the batteries down that far , i recommend doing 4s2p of the 280ah or 300ah lifepo4 cells , 8 cells total , this should give you plenty so your needs are covered and not over drawing the cells which will help with lifespan and they are easy to assemble yourself . it will also be far cheaper than other lithium options . there are a few 4s balancer options , ha12 has bluetooth app for android or a simple 4s heltec . discount code BDSB for all these products from sriko battery 2 Pack EVE (3.2V 280Ah LiFePo4) cells for RV, Solar discount code BDSB srikobatteries.com/product/2-pack-eve-280ah-lifepo4-prismatic-lithium-cells/?wpam_id=8 300ah 2pack 300a constant 600a peak cells Use Discount Code: BDSB srikobatteries.com/product/2-pack-eve-300ah-lifepo4-prismatic-lithium-cells/?wpam_id=8

Here is a SIMPLE way to figure this out for anyone. Make a battery bank. Get a Voltage meter. A Phone with Bluetooth connected to your stereo/Amp/DSP/Etc for signal. With the battery connected, if your voltage drops below the voltage you want to run? You need to add more battery banks in PARALLEL. So you need more cells for CAPACITY. If your doing COMPETITION? How much you need is 10 times what you think you need. So, basically? if you spent 1000 on Batteries alone? You need to spend 5,000. And your where you need to be. If your just doing a Daily? And are planning to build your own? Aim for spending about a grand just on cells. And then another $1,000 on hardware and a BMS system of your choice for a stock system that pulls about 300 amps at above 13 volts stable on bass notes. to reiterate, As soon as you see a drop in voltage, you need more cells in parallel in your bank. For reference? A 3 motor tesla on acceleration uses close to 1000 amps from the battery at 400V. With losses and other loads? That about 1300 amps. And it sags down to 320v or more depending on age of the fully charged cells. Older packs can dip to 300 from ~400 volts floating charge state. That battery is the almost the length of the Tesla. To put this into perspective? Since an unregulated amp puts out more watts up to its maximum rated voltage around 15v, but your car charges at 14.5 being the modern norm? Your Pack size to stay at that sweet spot @ 14.5 would need to be 6 times the size of a tesla pack to maintain a 30 second burst while pulling 700 amps continues from the battery without any voltage drop at all. There are ways around this? But if you are strictly out there with the goal of a 12v system wanting to compete? That's pretty much what your looking at if your goal is no more than 5% voltage drop for a 30 second burst. For anyone who is NOT competing in any sanctioned events? Simply go with the high-voltage system and use a high-voltage amplifier and call it a day. It's so much more cost-effective and the amount of power that you're going to hit for the money you spend is ridiculous! if you want to do something like this on the Cheap without buying something like a Tesla with the 400 volt power system then simply pick up an electric car of your choice with a pack voltage of at least 250v or higher. If you really want to go Budget? Just get a USed Prius. Hack the motor controller, and have it send out audio signals to your subwoofers. They are good for about 80KW. I said Kilowatts. Not watts. Basically? Its the most bullet proof Subwoofer amp known in existence. And it can do it all day long on a hot day. Regardless of the Impedance. BTW? Those high voltage amps are less then $800 bucks. Buy it from Amazon with the 4 year warranty, and make out like a pig in shit. Just one High voltage amp can put out over 50,000 watts RMS. More than you'll ever need. The only thing you will have to worry about is popping the main battery fuse on the EV. So keep some spares around. No adding any batteries. Just tap into the wiring. Add your amp, and your subwoofer box and your done. All for the low cost of less then $1000 bucks. No kidding. All your wiring and hardware needed / Required can come from the HomeDepot. It (CAN BE) [is] the most cost effective way to get power to your subwoofers imaginable. And done on a budget anyone with a JOB can afford.

What's better main battery? 14v (16v) 10ah LTO versus 12v (14.4V) 80ah AGM as a main battery with 1500f super cap? The most amps (burp) would be 1200amps. I ask bcuz my 12V AGM 80ah would start my car 5 days later (my car constantly draws 0.75amps 24/7 when not on due to dashcam and alarm) whereas now that I switched over to LTO 14v 10ah (30 eqah) which I charge at 15.8v and my car won't start after 8-12 hrs! Wtf. And the LTO costs 2x to 3x as much as my D3400! Grrr.
@blakebrockhaus3472 жыл бұрын
That's not a problem with the LTO, 10ah just isn't enough to reliably run a car. Personally I wouldn't go below ~30. Because most cars come with 40ah of battery stock.
