If you can be so kind to confirm that if we select Yes for "are there other persons traveling with you" - does this mean that this visa application is for them as well? or we need to file separate visa application for each of the companions? how can we ensure that a mom, and her 2 children are all part of the same application? i did not see the form asking for passport information for the children - just the primary traveler.. any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you’re completing multiple DS-160s for your family, you can create a family application that will automatically fill in some details for each family member. To do this, first complete one DS-160. On the “Thank You” page that follows the confirmation page, you’ll see an option to create a family application. Remember, while this will automatically complete some parts of the DS-160 for each family member, everyone still needs their own individual DS-160.

I need to apply for a US visa for my parents from Pakistan. My younger brother is in the US and a US passport holder as he was born there but we had to come back as a family. Now it's been over a year and my parents want to visit him and I came across a question while filing the DS-160 Form which says that has one filed an immigration petition on your behalf. So yes they have but that was a long time ago about 18 years ago and the petition was filed but we had been granted leave for a humanitarian and emergent reason. So what do we explain in this part of the process?

I am applying for a J visa, still do not know the address, the state I am going to as I go following an exchange programm and the family has not choosen me yet. There is a part in the DS160 form where I need to select the State and it is compulsary in order to proceed with filling the form.
