It makes me super happy to see that Masaru has a decent English speaking viewer base. Masaru absolutely deserves the attention.

Indeed. He definitely deserves the attention of English and other language speakers.

I found him completely by accident browsing KZbin but he has become one of my favorite channels. His sheer enthusiasm at trying everything he catches is infectious.

I love the part where he says the knife is "stupidly large" and it translates to really big.

I don't understand japanese at all but I could watch this channel without the subtitles for hours LOL. For some reason the whole process of carving up fish is very soothing to me. It's very much an art form.

Hello Masaru-san! I was wondering, is Negi Toro similar to Tartare? I know my Italian grandfather likes to make Salmon Tartare and Tuna Tartare but he doesnt make them into shapes. He just likes to scoop them into small cups. This seems somewhat similar to it.

Ooh, nice to see that you wore the black No Fish No Life shirt... Nice video as always Masaru and keep it up... Hopefully the factory would do great as well
Hello Masaru! Despite how excited cooking always was I've never cleaned a fish. Found out some I got where whole and thanks to your channel, I had the knowledge (and courage) to get over my concerns. I thought of you! Thank you so much and keep up the inspiring work!
It's so easy to learn from your channel. Plus the music is fun to listen to. It's been a min since I stopped by but it's ibvi time to binge again like I used to. Great vid family.

I think he needs to change up the music, it gets extremely repetitive when binging him

@@maybehbabeh5217 everything gets dull if it's the same thing over n over but since I am here to learn I could care less about the music being repetitive

Excelente video Masaru, no conocía esos detalles sobre el atún, qué interesante resulta prepararlo de esa manera. Saludos.
As someone who lives in the middle of a continent, this is a fascinating look into such a fish focused culture. Kudos for the amazing subtitle quality. Some of the best on this website

we don't mind at all when you repeat fish! they're always interesting :)
SAME THING THAT HAPPENED WITH MY FOOD PROCESSOR. I am guessing the motor part was not able to carry the stuffed amount of fish in the container. But still a pretty solid video!

Fish Balls Ingredients I pound deboned minced fish 3 large eggs, beaten & divided 2 Tablespoons minced shallots or spring onion 1 Tablespoon sesame oil 2 teaspoons cornstarch 2 teaspoons brown sugar 2 teaspoons fish sauce 1 teaspoon minced garlic Salt & pepper 1 1/2 cups seasoned Panko bread crumbs Cooking oil Directions In a food processor add fish, 1 egg, sesame oil, cornstarch, shallots, brown sugar, fish sauce, garlic, salt and pepper. Blend until a smooth paste forms. Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes. Using an ice cream scoop form fish balls (about golf ball sized.) Steam for 5 minutes and cool completely. Place bread crumbs in a bowl. In a separate bowl place remaining beaten eggs. Roll fish balls in the crumbs, then eggs, and then crumbs again and set balls aside. In a small pot heat oil (usually about 1/2 cup or as needed) over medium heat. Fry fish balls until golden brown all over, or about 5 minutes. Serve warm with Sriracha.
Just got finished watching; glad to see the fatty tuna on rice was the best part. Not surprised; fatty tuna never fails to be delicious, in my opinion. 😆
11:21 ... my guess is the thermal override tripped ... it should reset in a few minutes automatically ... alternatively there may also be a thermal fuse .. if so that will need to be replaced at a repair shop.
