Of course you're right! I stopped making videos on KZbin for a long time because it was very hard for me to record myself, but recently on a trip to Copenhagen, my wife and I started recording a vlog. I used a camera and my wife used an iPhone. And somewhere, that passion and the fun of creating materials on KZbin came back, so I hope that now after watching your film I will be even more motivated to document my Norwegian life and everything around me ;) Greetings from Oslo 👋

I always search for videos about filming yourself but can’t believe this is the first time I’ve seen one that addresses this topic! I’ve always been anxious to move my eyes away from my gear when shooting solo and often wondered how other solo travelers and/or creators maneuver this. Thank you for the tips 🤍

Hey Lila, Another one for filming yourself is seeking out and using an Escape Room! They are mini sound stages/studio sets after all; contact one, ask what day/time is the slowest for the various rooms or the complex as a whole, and if you can rent the place out to shoot? If all goes well, steer respectable creatives their way. That way they have an increase in their revenue stream and you have a place to get controllable content risk free.

OK Lila, I just noticed your page a few minutes ago. Thanks about the advice about the SSD; I had the same problem with Nikon's software. Way back in the day, I was still shooting film when everybody else was shooting digital. So, because I "had to learn digital anyways," I picked up an old pro model Nikon. (This was back when Windows Vista was getting Apple a lot of customers.) Like the hair. So, as I was telling you, I "Had to learn digital anyways." Let's skip that part, because I'll just chop it into a tree with a rusty soup can. Let's get "to the subject." Studio lighting is a profession, camera operations is a profession, cutting hair is a profession. Now, I'm sure you wouldn't want me, chopping your hair out of a treetrunk with anything less than a quality Progresso brand, so, if you wouldn't mind... ...2 GE reveal floods, and one Sylvania halogen. Bounce them off a piece of natural white watercolor or drawing paper from the art supply. Change the camera settings to outdoor shade. (Because I really don't want to throw the entire art department out of the country so some congressman can save us from $.03 electrical bill added to $65 worth the surcharges.) Actual photography lightbulbs are expensive. TY. As I said. I like the hair. I'd hate to find out that your skin isn't better than a $.53 Led bulb with $300 price tag.

Thanks for answering my question I asked you from your last video! I still live in NYC and I still feel reallllly nervous when I walk away from my camera. But, also, maybe one can trade off with another vlogger to watch each other's equipment on respective days of shooting. One day I'll be there for his camera and the next day she'll be there for me. Just a thought... And yes, disecting other videos would be a great idea. I like it!😀👍

The new super small insta360 camera that shoots 4k video (forgot its proper name) could be a great tool for shooting these kinds of shots (if you can afford it).
