Ultimate Baseball Training could you do another video about infielding drills I have watched them all and done them all
@Astrovality3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips man, this actually really helped. I came into varsity early last year as a sophomore and not liking the inside pitch one bit, my coach of course hated that and made it his sole job (involving me) to make that my favorite pitch to hit, and this video actually helped. He said I am suprisingly good for my age with little area that I need major work on and he thinks I can maybe even get a scholarship to one of the bigger programs in the state because he says out of all the people in my position (1st base). I am leading in batting average for our programs as well as little to no errors last season. I rarely let things get past me except for ones I can’t reach to. (I am also left handed)

i joined my varsity team this year. and it didnt take long for the pitchers in my league to realize i couldnt hit inside pitches and curveballs soon enough that was pretty much all i saw fastballs down and in, two seamers darting into my hands at the last second. but then i watched this video and it has helped alot!

You simplify everything perfectly. Most coaches over complicate things. I started baseball later in life and was behind. Very, very thankful for these videos. Keep on producing! Thanks, Coach!

Hey Coach - would you recommend the SwingAway Hitting Trainer for drills like this as well? Just ordered one and wonder if you have any thoughts on it!

Outside pitch drills? Please great vids
@telekev17 жыл бұрын
yahoooo.... finally someone talks about an absolute fundamental of the modern swing.... keeping the elbows the same distance apart.... it's crucial for power, launch angle and yes... hitting the inside pitch for power... bravo coach!!! thx

Can u do a video on ur back foot, I want to know if I should advance it or keep it planted like my dad says
@UltimateBaseballTraining7 жыл бұрын
+Javee Tagudar Both knees should pinch together and your back foot should naturally come forward a little bit towards the pitcher. It shouldn't stay planted like cement. You actually are almost on your big toe at the point of contact
@ismaelgarcia92667 жыл бұрын
You should do a how to hit like players. Sorta like the guy from shot mechanics does. He breaks down hitters and stuff. I think it would make your Chanel grow and help us players as well.

Can you maybe make a video about picking balls in the dirt. As a first baseman it can be very hard to do this. But many young shortstops and catchers struggle with this too. Thanks!
@marcusfair58507 жыл бұрын
DomPlays99 if it's in the dirt field it like a ground with your glove down not side ways , get your body in front so if you do miss you block it and may still get the runner out , and step off the bag to field if you have to

Someone's Son catch the ball , if your right handed have right foot on the bag, if you can lead off in your leauge have a secret signal to tell your pitcher to pick him off , I hit my glove when there to far

Could you go over fielding from 3rd and I have this problem where I do amazing in batting practice but in the games I'm having bad at bats
@logangregorio14444 жыл бұрын
Ivan Esparza that’s all in the mind. If you don’t have confidence at the plate your not gonna succeed. Also, don’t think about fundamental at the plate, find a mental queue (I.e swing through the ball, look away react inside) that fits you so you don’t have to think about your mechanics.

Hey Justin do you keep ur arms tight when hitting the outside pitch too?
@UltimateBaseballTraining7 жыл бұрын
+Johnny Wu Good question! Your arms will naturally be further away from your body on an outside pitch
@johnnywu44907 жыл бұрын
+Ultimate Baseball Training great stuff. I roll over weakly to 3b or Ss on inside pitches usually. Outside pitches I can take the other way pretty well. I'm gonna hit the tee today.
@Hernandez21927 жыл бұрын
you forgot one thing.. yes tight = more power... but also.. hitting that inside pitch where you're supposed to.. (out in front of the plate.. if timed properly) you will hit it towards the end of the swing.. where the bat is moving at it's fastest.. the mass of the bat moving at a faster velocity will equal a harder impact..
@raz16837 жыл бұрын
Weird things is I'm a natural inside and low hitter one thing that gets me is they threw me a cutter inside and intice me to go for it -- only to hve it break away or if I leave it it will still cut into the strikezone
