One thing that helped me a lot: i keep a copy of the Qur'an on my bedside, so I always look at it as a reminder and have it near me so I can read it, and also, every time you feel like doing it invoque Allah, say "astaghfirullah" or memorize a hadit and recit it out loud, really makes you realize what you're about to do.

I could never stop and then I realized that in a lot of the verses in the Quran Allah(SWT) says "with the permission of your lord". I then started making Dua to Allah more than 5 times a day to stop and I stopped feeling the urge to watch this and sin. Without Allah's permission no one can get close to him. So make Dua and Allah with do the rest.

My advice to stops pornography is to delete all that is related to it and make more time for Sunnah prayer such as rawatib, duha, witr, and tahajud. Dedicate more time for Allah Azzawajal, do more dhikr, I guarantee that you will not fall to the same trap.

I tried with fasting, Prophet David AS' style. Added with reading Al-Qur'an and Wudhu every time dirty thoughts comes into my mind. It's to regulate my lust and my desires. Sometimes they work, sometimes they just don't. Well, at times, when I tried to regulate my desires and blocked them for too long, they just exploded without control. It's just too hard. I even cut on my diet to stop giving fuel to my desires and energy. But when it comes, it comes. At some point, I just can't control it. The longest time I've been able to block my addiction to it was for 5-6 months or so. Oh, and the hardest time for me to control it is in the morning, right after Fajr prayer and after Dhikr and reading Al-Qur'an even. And I wasn't even thinking about anything dirty. It just comes on its own.

What works for me? Only 2 things 1. Regular exercise, as simple as 20 mins running. 2. Maintain a daily routine (Sleep early, wake up early). *Do research on the detrimental effect it has on our brain and body; Make twba and pray to Allah for guidance. You will see noticable changes in your perfonmance and mindset within 2 weeks inshAllah.

It seems to me that the main problem is that in the modern world, especially in a secular country, it is very difficult to find a decent girl who would like to devote time to her family and raise children. Modern girls are not interested in marriage. These tendencies are beginning to spread even within the Islamic Ummah. I am 26 years old and I am from Russia. When I was 16, I converted from Christianity to Islam. I am healthy, make good money and have my own business (I mean, I have no problems with money or appearance), but by the age of 26 I could not find a wife and this fact plunges me into a certain apathy. I hope I can move to a Muslim country and start a family there, but with the current war in Ukraine, this is almost impossible. In any case, marriage is the best and surest way to quit pornography, because it is difficult for a man to restrain himself physically when he cannot be satisfied.

Patience I guess sometimes/most of the times we need to calulate it. Let's say you are sure of the outcome if you wait for it patiently then go for it, so when you are copying 1 Terbyte of files to your another computer, you know this will take lots of time but eventually it will be finished and you will have something that is best for you. This doesn't work always but in some cases when you are sure of the outcome just be patient. When you are not sure make Dua to Allah to ease the waiting period.

The reason that some of suffer from this addiction is because our eeman is very low if you eeman is low then what you can do is to understand deeply that this filthy action will harm you so much in the long run that you will regret so much! And when you do that know that you are created to suffer to overcome desires and self pleasure so you can reach high level interms of dunya and aakhira, understand this concept of pain now and pleasure later and it will be easy for you to quit in shaa Allah this is what helped me I've not seen it any porn for more than a year Alhamdulilah! Truth. I accidentally discovered pornography last year and I’m a teen but I only watched it 10 times. Less than 20 mins and I also skipped so many parts that I found so annoying. I don’t think I’m addicted because I can handle myself very well and I know what’s right and wrong and I treat pornography just like entertainment till I realise it’s actually not for entertainment, it’s more than that. I thought of it but never thought of doing it because as I said, I only watched it and I imagined myself doing it even in teh future and I was like” No” never in my life I’m doing it. I’m glad the mindset on how to differentiate what’s right and wrong. It’s really disgusting but I don’t see the inside so.. not affected much 😕

Don't be off guarded. Our brain circuits changes when we take this kind of cheap dopamine hits.Keep yourself pure from those contents. It all starts like that. It's hard to realise when 2 mins per week becomes 2 hrs per day within year. Stay alert. Best wishes.

Jazak Allah khair akhi, I agree with all your points except number 3- I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying. "All the sins of my followers will be forgiven except those of the Mujahirin (those who commit a sin openly or disclose their sins to the people). An example of such disclosure is that a person commits a sin at night and though Allah screens it from the public, then he comes in the morning, and says, 'O so-and-so, I did such-and-such (evil) deed yesterday,' though he spent his night screened by his Lord (none knowing about his sin) and in the morning he removes Allah's screen from himself." (Bukhari) One of the dua which we repeat every day "Allahuma istur awrati," how can we expect an answer to this dua if we ourselves uncover our awrat (in this case our shameful deeds) for others?

Salam Alaykom. What you are saying is true, but did you guys listen to the part at minute 3:05 ? There is a big difference between boasting about your sins and seeking help from others that are professionally trained or someone trustworthy that can keep a secret.. some things in our religion are black and white and some things Allah swt has made it easy for us to adjust the rules. Please brothers don't spread misinformation if you guys haven't had any experience. I'm pretty sure brother wael has studied all corners of this subject and the ahadith that lead to it, he is a professional and there's no way he will mislead other people.
