I’ve also done that! My very first foster kittens I got them at 1.5 weeks, bottle fed them, raised them, and named them (there’s where the problem started. NEVER let me name things) I ended up keeping both Harry Purrter and Ron Whiskers. I love them both so much

For everyone in the comments saying "I want to foster when I grow up" as long as you're responsible, you know how and you have the time you can convince a parent to sign up to foster at a shelter, they'll provide the resources. I have three feral kittens that I have been fostering for a couple of weeks now. I'm only fourteen so my mom has to do all the technical parts, but we usually don't have trouble finding homes for the fosters we get. My mom has a lot of friends online that love cats so they're always adopted out pretty fast. With this littler we're hoping to give one to my cousin and the other two to my grandma, they've both been looking for kittens to adopt for a few years now and they're the perfect fit. We usually get our foster kittens from one of my mom's friends who works with a lot of feral cats in out area. She traps and spays the mama cats and we socialize the babies. It works out perfectly. Our last two foster kittens were adopted together and they're very happy.

Yeah stray cat just showed up with three kittens this morning. She was an outside cat, wanted her to survive Winter, I'm homeless myself, now I have to figure out how to get her an 3 kittens, a temporary home, then adopted, they have just opened their eyes. An now I'm stressing out.

"cropping" is your friend. I can't always center the kittens in a good spot at the right time, but cropping lets me remove the litter box or stray junk, and really center the kitten in the photo.

One of my moms friends was shopping and someone said a kitten had run under her car she looked for a while but couldn’t find it so she continued to shop and get her tires rotated and went back to her house (which was 45 minutes away from where she was shopping.) she got home and after an hour heard sounds from her garage so she went to check it out. She found out that the kitten had ridden in her engine block the entire way and only had a singed ear. She has been looking for a cat to hunt barn mice but was not feral. So it worked out great and that kitten was named Amelia Earhart because she traveled a long way just like her.

The kitten we just rescued is 6 weeks old according to our vet but she's about half the size of your 6 week old. I think he was looking at her teeth which I think started falling out early either from malnutrition or an injury from a wild animal she she also has a wound in her mouth. We've had our baby girl for two weeks now and she's growing and learning thanks to the help from your videos. I'm not sure if we'll be putting her up for adoption or not. The apartments in our area won't let us have more than one cat and we already have another. We're just falling in love with her and I don't want to give her up.

Omg I would love to adopt peppermint! Though I don't foster, I really appreciate this video!! I find it really hard to look at kitties online and get a better sense of who they are because the descriptions don't talk about their traits! I've also asked some foster parents more about certain cats but they just say that all the kittens are good and affectionate, which isn't enough to understand who the kitten is. Thank you!
