Its a circular argument, you can't get NZ immigration until you have a job offer as there is no way you can reach 180 points without job offer & when you go to apply for jobs on any website it either says do not apply if ur not a NZ citizen or having Unrestricted working rights or not having a work visa & again you cannot apply the NZ immigration if you don't have a job offer, Its a circular argument, I recently got couple of replies back from recruitment agencies where in they have mentioned we can only help if your here in NZ with work visa.

This works in the US too...its simple...find a short list of companies you want to work for...send out your resume or CV for the job you want...then...you need to keep going cause this is where most people stop they thinking a HR mgr will ever call...they won't....you do a little research to find who your immediate boss would be....find their email or phone number...and then contact them directly and invite them out for an informal brunch or casual coffee...most bosses are receptive to this and it allows you to bypass recruiters and HR so you can make your impression with the person you will be working with the most. This shows your interest, your eagerness and your drive and commitment...once face to face ...you close the deal by asking lots of specific questions to show your experience. This also allowd YOU to get a sense if your boss is the type of person you may like too...remember..its always a two way street...dont settle for the job just cause of money if your boss is a huge jerk....i promise you it will never end well and won't be worth the compromise. Finding a job in New Zealand nowadays not all but mainly by PARTISAN. In other words, to get a job you need a referral/connections or if you had someone like a friend or family member currently employed in the same company you are applying. Most of the people i knew as most of them are saying are that they got the job because they had referrals from people who work on the same company. And they only hire someone who has no referral if the company is so desperate. This is the reality now in New Zealand.

Try your best not to end up in Auckland...Auckland is an expensive city....very expencive.a House will cost you not less than $850 000...and that is for a house nobody wants...a decent house will cost you $1mil.So...rent is high....feul is at this very moment $2.44/lt...filled up this morning.You will spend hours in the trafic every day....Look...New Zealand is a wonderfull place to to live....but it is NOT easy to find and settle in a job...If you are going to arrive here with a bit of money...a family I would say..$200 000 it will be easier...but then ...please be carefull with your money....DONT start with an expencive car...The first year is NOT eazy...when your work mates start calling you mate or bro....you are well and away !!
