I have been praying since my childrens dad left. My exhusband has married, divorced, and remarried. I stay alone. I wanted my kids to have a family and a good father who would be a good role model for them. Now my sons are grown. My daughter is 17. My beauty is fading and I cant have children. I am the only Muslim in my family. I live where there are few Muslims. I have no one to to help in the marriage process. So what I am I to do? Maybe I dont have anything to offer a husband? Insha Allah I can stop being so broken hearted over not being a wife.

@@valeriedhodson3014 Don't worry. Not being a wife does not devalue a woman. As long as you've tried, that counts. As far as I can see, you've already been a mother and that lays heaven under your feet. I can't even imagine such a position as a man :) Also if you've done everything you could on your end, don't let the fact that people in your family are not Muslims make you feel responsible. In the end, we are all responsible for our own actions. Even some prophets had family members who did not believe and they were the ones chosen to spread the message. After spreading good and warning about evil, leave the rest to Allah as He is the only one who can truly save a human being. Also don't lose hope on marriage either. Anything can happen. The best is to be realistic and hopeful at the same time. I also find myself losing hope in myself, but at least, I know that I can't lose hope in Allah. Trials are there for a believer to help them in their struggle and elevate their status. Turn your problems into the trials that made you deserve the fact that Allah blessed you with Islam. All I can do is pray for you and you should know that, as a person who has been lonely for a very long time, I understand what it means to seek for companionship. I don't even have any friends, let alone a wife. I can't even imagine getting married, but a Muslim never loses hope. Also it is sometimes better to think of certain things we want in a way that would make us feel better and that is to see the bad examples of the things we want. Think about the possibility of marrying a husband that would not be a good father to your children, a husband that doesn't treat you well. It is far better for you to be in this situation than to be stuck with a man that you do not love and possibly despise. In the end, these are all possibilities and the best thing a Muslim can do is to do whatever they can on their part and leave the rest to Allah and not feel guilty about things they can not control.

*Wallahi my dad does not know me at all.* He wanted me to meet a guy who was the complete opposite of me in every single way to the point that it seemed like a joke. My dad doesn't know my birthday, who my friends are, what I study at university, and how I live my daily life. As much as I respect my very authoritative dad, I DO NOT trust him to find me a husband. My dad grew up in a different culture to me and has completely different values. He also cares more about what the community thinks rather than what is actually best for me Islamically. Again, I mean no disrespect to my dad, but it's just highly unlikely that he can choose a spouse for me since sadly, I am like stranger to him. Inshallah I gain more understanding of my situation as time passes. I am a 23 yeard old man wanting to get married or have somebody to love for as long as I can remember, but my 10-year depression prevented me from doing so as I had developed a very bad self-everything about myself. But all that has changed with the help of Allah swt. as I transformed myself completely in all fields (healthly living, taking good care of myself mentally and physically, closer to my deen then ever before, financially stable etc.). However, still being single got me stuck in this negative thinking cycle that maybe I haven't changed at all as I still haven't gotten where I want to be. In return, I feel the negative self-image creeping up again. Been stuck in this cycle quite long now.

This is a good explanation, and the absolute truth. Unfortunately so, and may Allah (SWT) forgive us, this rarely happens in practice. I have tried approaching numerous potentials in this manner with this intent and mannerism, but the answer is always the same. "I appreciate you're doing this the islamic way, but...(excuse here)" Meaning it never gets to a point where you get the chance to know someone. Like you get rejected before even getting to know someone, and it's not the rejection that is problematic, but the fact that it happens early on. While on the other hand when you approach someone directly, and say you'd like to go for a coffee to get to know them, there is a higher percentage chance that they will give it a shot. Also note that none of the women were doubtworthy on basis of deen, akhlaaq, and so on. It is just that this time and society we live in is truly twisted and messed up. And Allah knows better. I hope I will be able to find my spouse on the path of Allah, and it's truly hard to maintain your frame regarding hope and sabr in these times, but it is what it is.

Hi buddy! I've been in your boat during my teens, I will be very honest with you and speak from experience. I am almost 25 now, so ten years ahead of you. Of course this is just my opinion and you're free to disagree. You are most probably just attracted to her, it's not love. Teenage is an interesting time, your hormones are going wild, you're raging with testosterone, you won't be able to see it now, but wait a couple of years and you'll understand. All of the crushes I had during my teens, when I look at them today I'm not even attracted to them! I'm not saying this to say they're ugly or anything I'm just saying during teenage your mind and body are still developing, even your preferences for a partner will change. I will advise you to put these hormones to good use. Channel your energy into productive things that will set you up for the future. Join a gym, build some muscle, master a skill, choose a career path right now and then a couple of years later, if you still love this woman, you can go ahead and marry her! EDIT: Also think about this, you've been seeing her since 2 years but only developed feelings for her in the recent 5 months. This makes it CERTAIN that its just hormones.

So if it's for a long time be Honest to yourself,don't look at her or even try to talk to her ,so soon you'll get to know if it was just a crush or love coz as you don't get any kind of attraction you will forget her that's how our brain works to love someone it dosnt require you to be in touch with someone. I believe in love at teen age coz my father fell in love with my mom when he was 14 and my mom was 12 as they were cousins so you must give a test if you still feel that she is the one for you pray to Allah if she Is made for you she will be yours but if she isn't the one soon you will forget her....

You like her so much that you always keep her in your duas, and you always guide her towards dheen and Islam. You talks with her, but afraid whether what you are doing might be haram(idk : like texting about everything happened on that day). You like her so much that you want to marry her after some years. And you want to stay halal. What will someone do with this kind of situation??

Cut off any sort of haram relationships, if you are texting her as your gf or calling her everyday on phone.... Pray to Allah, make dua for your future with her...but don't have unnecessary chats.... Sooner or later shaitan might get you and you will start doing the things you once said you wouldn't do. Complete your studies, start an earning to support your family till you finally get yourself settled for marriage..... Then you may go and meet her parents.... Till then keep up with regular salah and make your iman strong.... Understand quran, fast, give charity..... And let your future be in Allah's hand...... Indeed Allah is with those who is steadfast.

It's fine but you may have to wait till you finish your studies and get a job so that you can marry the girl you love. However, I think you can tell your family first. Then, your mother may talk to the girl's mother about your good intentions and your plan to marry her daughter. If her family agrees then they will simply wait for you. But till that moment you should not talk to her as you said everyday and so on cause your relation will be stronger and this will make it hard for both of you to wait until marriage. Work hard to make your relation strong with Allah and keep dua. May Allah help you to marry the girl you love without being involved in any sort of haram:)

Sorry about the heartbreak and sometimes you can't really understand God's plans for us but you gotta rely on Allah.. He maybe out there hurting as you do because for some reasons maybe because of religious differences, family pressure etc he realized there was no future for this and yet the more you continued the closer you would get so he ended it not to hurt you much further.. the pain for a month is not the same with 1year.. be strong and pray

@@sidrazaheer1063 hey sister it's obvious you are really hurt but people break up all the time... even people we think are beautiful, rich etc have broken up since time immemorial. Sorry you have to face this alone but am a freelance counselor so you can talk to me whenever you want to but peace and guidance are in salah and dua.. don't expect instant help from Allah because Allah acts on HIS will besides you prayed for a halal relationship so trust Allah it's coming ur way and probably from the least place you expect.

I have a message/opinion to share : But before remind that I will use the word "partner" to say both wives and husband. I don't really speak English so I try my best. Nowadays, there are too many partners who take advantage of the other partner. Examples: -husbands that treat their wives like maids - wives who treat their husbands like wallets And ecc... Just know that you shouldn't let the pressure, stress and anxiety that this society of nowadays gives us. Some poeple don't even realize how they act to their partner because of this. And remember to well educate your kids and the other generations. Because if a parent will beat or scream someone in the family, the kid will do the same thing as grown up. So may all of find the love of your live, respect him/she and I wish you have a lovable marriage.
