For those having trouble with the first spider not getting caught on the tunnel, then you can try to go out of the tunnel, turn left and hop on a rock on the left side surrounded by bolts and the widow won’t be able to reach you but will stay aggroed on you to shoot arrows with as well.

The sinkhole widow was the first one I stumbled upon. I was expecting to have to fight it, but was low on food, so I was hoping I could maybe sneak passed. But of course it saw me. I was also ill-equipped to kill it. But I realized this in the middle of fighting it. But I DID survive the encounter. I just held up my shield and walked backward through the tunnel toward the lab blocking its attacks until the spider got bored, de-aggroed and walked away. 😅

Even though they have resistance to all damage types, they aren’t resistant to generic damage as far as I’m aware. So the broodmother’s club should be a good choice.

For location number 3, this worked for me: When you drop down through the hole, leg it to the thin, dirt like pillar on the right, next to the Supreme Marble, and stand behind it.....the Widow can't get to you. Just take plenty of arrows and a couple of Super Gas Arrows just to clear out the Widowlings and also to DoT the Widow Pause the video at 7:28....it's that pillar in the background, just to the right of the Widow. Hope this helps 🙂

I just did the spider thing and actually cheesed all 4 of the them...the one near the shed can be lured all the way back to where the milk molar is and you can jump down from where you entered the cave and just shoot the black widow with your spicy staff...the one under the shed can super easily be cheesed if you enter the entrance to its cave, shoot it with an arrow to agro it and then run back and just go down to that little plateau right next to the upgrade stone and shoot it with a spicy staff. And the last one near the castle can get lured back to the field station nearby and there is a giant leaf almost touching the ground and you can jump ontop of it and use the spicy staff again 🙂

I found out if you shoot a few super gas arrows (will probably work with regular gas arrow) into the black widow spawn point where you drop down into a hole, it will take out most of the black widowlings. Once you damage the black widow it will expose its leg and then you can just shoot it with regular arrows without needing to drop down into the hole.

Hey Sim, According to the grounded Wiki Black Widow poison is not affected by mithridatism, when I went to go fight one I had it on already but it may be worth checking to see if that's actually true or not. Swapping for another perk would be a good option if it's not going to work against that enemy type.

I created a tank build with sleek ladybug armor. The set bonus gives health regen for blocking, and the sleek bonus boosts healing amount. I maxed out my healing molar upgrade, and I use a level 8 tick sword that has life steal. I pop a bandage before a fight and I have the absolute most passive healing during black widow fights. I use a ladybird shield and memorized the attacks for perfect blocks. IMO, this is the absolute best way to take them on. I mainly prefer to use one liquid rage for damage since I already passive heal.

So I have figured out you need no healing. As long as you have a shield, a tiger mosquito rapier, and swordmaster(blade master max phase) it is insanely easy. I also throw on mythraditism, parry master, mom's genes, and rascal rogue for an extra throw in, especially because it gets extra items. Parry master and sword master I believe are for stamina and damage taken decrease. Mythra is for obvious reasons. And last mom's genes helps you a lot with targeting, you can get an incredible amount of spiderlings to redirect her agro onto them, it leaves an opening for you to attack multiple times before she re-agros onto you. Next is just the technique you use, I parry a lot, and I utilize my shield to the max, it is very good.

To cheese the one behind the cave you have to bomb - after you bomb the entrance boulder if you throw a second bomb without jumping through the hole that has the science above it. If you get the right angle you will hit the black widow, aggro it and then can arrow it down without jumping down.

Widows can actually drop up to 4 super spider venom. I received 4 from a single kill of undershed widow when killing it going through the story. Received zero from all the others though, so it's definitely not a common occurance

(yes this is a new commentary on a old video) i found out that in the toolbox black widow, you can literally just build a wall + wall with window on the entrance and shoot at the black widow and it will simply get stuck there, and the best part is that you can still fire arrows at her since her legs will be appearing on the window giving you a extremelly easy way to farm it (now that the tunel glitch stopped working)

Toenail sword or tick sword, armor is more preference, I run brewd mother mask and rolly Polly chest and legs. Having parymaster perk and the badge that gives you healing off perfect blocks. I’ve defeated multiple widows with this now main thing is to always get a perfect block so you don’t take poison damage. This allowed me to kill black widows with just a couple bandages.

You can carry around 1 black widow fang and one acorn shell to make a black widow mount. Mount it as close as you can to the black widow spot and activate it right before your black widow fight. You're welcome.

Thanks for the video! I've found with the roly-poly armor plus the tiger mosquito rapier and it's life steal (I do have them both at lvl 7 and my character is decently leveled), you can stab until stamina runs out and then pop a few bandages while your stamina recharges, repeat 4 or 5 times and these ladies goes down no problem!

tbh, fighting widow is not that hard, just get full fire ant armor with shield and infected spider. armor has chance weakening enemy armor and spear does infected damage for which widow has no resistance and it does decent damage, mint mace does also good damage as well. after few kills you master how to beat her, and block attacks.

Ill be honest im kinda mad they didnt do some sort of overall tier 4 items since Black widow feels like a tier 4 enemy same with Mantis but broodmother club and 2 or 3 healbasa is all you really need. Just practice your blocks. As long as you micromanage block to swing the club faster you can full combo and start blocking attacks as soon as they come out. I practiced out a few and its easy now no more than 45 seconds, but you want to stave off healing as long as possible because it messes up your rhythm and its hard to get back in sync with blocks and attacks

Black widows actually deal 2 types of extra damage. Venom and poison, Venom bypasses mithridatism and yes both can apply at the same time.

I found a way to cheese that widow under the shed. I shoot her once, got out of the tunnel, shot her again and kept her real close (took 2 hits). When you are still in the tunnel facing the exit, then you go right when you get out, go to the edge of the rock shelf you're on and jump down on a small rock. She can't target you properly when you stand there, so you just shoot her with crossbow ;)

The black widows arnt resistant to gas. Super gas arrows would be easy to use. They should also put in a new bomb involving gun powder and super gas sacks, a super gas bomb.

i guess the only weakness we can say these things have which you can say is more of a buff than a weakness is a signpost you can make to increase dps to them by marking them as a foe. would be nice if this spider has that though I have not fought it yet, just killed the mantis which was fun and kinda hard to fight. the widow is the next thing I am going after and the undershed.

in the most recent update i found a glitch with the black widow in undershed: i got it somehow glitched in its spawn point and it didnt attack me, it just stood there and attacked me but didnt move her attacks didnt even it but i think its by saving your game naer it and reloading, would reccomend killing the widowlings first tho

Hey, Sim. You can also cheese the BWS that's under the dustpan near the pond. If you shoot it with an arrow at the right angle, or shoot it then QUICKLY jump onto the rocks nearby, it can't reach you. It might look like it can jump onto the rocks, but it can't. That's how I cheesed my first Widow.

@@peggymoexd Some rocks don't work, you need to find the sweet spot. I find that if you stand at the corner of the square rock, the corner closest to its den, is good. It's basicly trial by error. Save just before you shoot it and you can repeat the process until you find the right spot.

Super spider venom is easier to get than people think. Just get 1 and go to duplicator in oak lab and duplicate for 1000 each. Easier to farm raw science than black widows that don’t always drop venom.

Found another one accidentally while wandering through the wasp nest area. It’s tucked in by some boxes. Idk how to get there cause I fell into it . Not the best surprise down there 🕷️

Hey sim on my game my poison resist mutation is messed up it works but it doesnt because i fought 8 wolf spiders and got poison

If you are having trouble fighting the widow use spears by throwing them
