The only way is to look at the contracts at the moment, look at the tokenomics, is there more than one dev, does the website look like poo 💩 etc etc

Hmm, let Metis evolve more and other tools should also soon incorporate METIS. That will make it easier, right now its not quite easy as compared to tools in other ecosystem!
