If you stay in scanning mode, after the markers disappear, you can roughly tell the distance you are from the panels by the signal % on the left. Go slowly because the numbers will spike and you may also have them spawn directly in front of your ship. When the signal strength gets to around 90-95% stop and start looking around. You'll see the panels spawn in.

I always switch to exterior camera (F4) as I near the cluster and "side step" pressing A and D to see what's moving left to right so I can get visual on most of the panels . Sometimes, they are above you or below you 👍

I also suggest giving yella belt a try to see if you like it better. Due to the moon's rotation if you jump to it (usually from orison) after 20 seconds you'll be out of the jump path and have a patch of belt all to yourself. Plus yella belt is a super quick trip back to orison to depot.

I found that when you get within 2k of the panels, switch to 3 person mode (F4). Makes it a LOT easier to find the panels. Your FP view is too limited in the cockpit, and you might miss on that is above you.

i find instead of using the Gimbal mode to scrap use the ship and mouse turning to automate the traverse across a panel, also i find traversing faster across the panel gives a higher sSCU rating or absorption. ok multiple passes may be needed but the rating can go from 1.50-2 upto 3-4 sSCU per second.

If you scan first at 0%, and then 100% you can see the panel markers from more like 11km range. The markers will disappear so you do need to kinda spam it.

It is easier if you stay in Scanning Modus, put Piercing on 75% an flying to the point where the SGL increaseing. So you finde the perfect direction

This has been the best credit maker for me in 3.24. I tested in 3.24.1 PTU and the panels have half the RMC. Still viable, just going to take longer to get the RMC.

Yeah. Dont be in scan mode while TABing, or you wont pick up new signatures. So TAB TAB TAB TAB, then V to check signatures, then V to turn it off, then continue TABing until you find a 2k multiple. I stopped in here to see if I was missing anything. See if someone found a cool technique. It seems Im on par. Got ya a like anyways.

how do you get to see the entire MFDs? mine is zoomed in so much. can you let me know how you did that?

I don't understand what you mean when you're looking at something like 13.2 KM away and you're saying 1850. What am I supposed to be dividing or... something divisible down into 6km? Or something? I'm flying out and about and checking each 'unknown' signal in my Vulture but not finding anything other than rocks.

So the 13km is the distance of the signal. If you look at the right side, that’s where I’m getting the 1850 signal from. You want to look for signals (which pop up on the right side when looking at them directly) to be divisible by 2K. So if you see a signal of 6k, that means that those are panels since you can divide that by 2K. So 6k divided by 2K equals 3 which means that there are 3 panels.

Yeah I figured it out about an hour later- I never understood what people meant when they said the "divisible by 2k" thing- I was thinking they meant the distance I never even noticed the signal pop up thing on the right. Immediately went and found 5 panels out in the middle of nowhere. Thank you!!
