I remember the Internet from the 90s and i must say, the text was how almost every website was written. The internet was a sub culture, remember it's the Hackers movie decade and who used was young people (remember it's also the DUDEEEEE teens decade). I don't actually find it too sarcastic as a but screw you to WB, but more a how every website was written to appeal to the online public of the time.
