How to find the LCM Lowest Common Multiple

The thing I don’t like about this method is that you have to know tricks and whatnot Vs just understanding the English within the question. For deeper understanding I think it’s better to perform multiple for each number starting from one until you hit 60 for each number. Because that is the lowest multiple that they both have in common. But maybe I’m wrong

Alternatively, divide the product of the numbers by the highest/greatest common factor/divisor. 12 x 15 = 180 180 / 3 = 60 Not necessarily easier, though.

It works multiplying the numbers by each other but ONLY if the numbers are relatively prime. Relatively prime numbers are numbers whose biggest common divisor is 1
