I went through this video once and got really close to my ideal settings and then changed one thing and couldn't remember what it was but got suuuuper frustrated, reset everything to default, and stopped playing. Haven't touched Apex again in a week. Today, I decided to go back and and concentrate harder on my controller settings. I went through each part and turned it all the way up, then all the way down so I could see the difference. In doing that, I was able to see exactly what was changing! Once I found a comfortable spot with it, I moved to the next part. I did this in the firing range to test it all out and I suggest doing that! I've also started jumping into the firing range more with friends to do some 1v1 or 2v2 with different weapons to keep my skills sharpened. It really helps! Thank you so much for posting this video

I've been struggling to find my perfect settings. This video is great and had a lot of information that I've never heard of in any other alc video before. But now I think I've finally figured out my settings. And my hip fire has improved a ton with slower settings and some extra turning yaw and pitch to make up for how slow it is. Anyways. I second this - been playing since Season 1 and had everything dialed in, but recently logged in to find Apex had 'reset' ALL of my settings back to default, straight down to the button layout! So, I'm currently 'rebuilding' my settings and this video not only helped me to get back to settings I feel good on, but also helped me IMPROVE ones I didn't really understand. 😂😂 this video is so damn legit it’s super wild how much your game changes by tweaking the sensitivity, I played this game since launch and I never thought to mess with these settings but when I did around season 6 my game elevated almost too much. So for ADS Extra Yaw and Pitch, if you have have it at 250 each, and you adjust your Regular Yaw and Pitch accordingly, it’s basically a lock on for anyone you want, plus you can swap targets with the extra yaw and pitch put in place?

I like to play usually in games about a 8 sensitivity or 5 but this game compared to others feel like there is a delay in turning like a 4ms delay and it messes with me because I’m used to that instant turn but great explanation, I’ll have to watch after I’m off work

Try turning down your deadzone and your response curve if you are using advanced look controls and let me know if that helps you

@@Esidi turning the dead zone to like 8 helped because any lower was way too much stickdrift, response cure I think is a 6 or a 7 and felt great, and everything else is set to what kind of felt comfortable but I’ll have to practice and get used to my new controller before I can say that it’s a permanent setting, but I just got my elite series 2 controller and I don’t know exactly any good setting for that in the Xbox accessory app

The only time your yaw and pitch should be same is if you are using a 1:1 scale monitor… 16/9 = yaw/pitch. Adjust your pitch according to your comfortable yaw.

ads yaw and pitch speed is the base sensitivity, per optic settings is the multiplier added to each optic. So if your ads yaw and pitch is 100 and your per optics were all 2.0 then when using those optics your sensitivity would be 200

That's one of the downsides to the extra sens, not much you can do about it besides getting used to not pulling all the way to the edge with your thumbsticks in melee range gun fights

yeah it's called recoil, every gun will affect your aim making it harder to hit shots. Spend some time in the firing range to get comfortable with the recoil on different weapons
