This guys videos have helped me so much on multiple installs. After formal training I still need assistance from time to time and my instructor is of no assistance. This man is a lifesaver.

I really appreciate the feedback. Thank you for taking the time to leave it! 👌🏻 It's great to hear how helpful the videos are! As you learn more about PPF, you'll be able to learn more things from the videos as well. Stuff that you couldn't pick up on before you got some good hands-on experience.

How long do you usually wait to heat and seal?
@EncorePPFtint6 ай бұрын
You can heat seal the edges as soon as they are dry. 👍🏻 You can speed up the drying process by wiping all of the edges down right after your installation or using compressed air to blow the water out of the edges. Either one of those will help speed up the drying process on those edges. 😁

When i do this, exactly as you are, it sometimes actually lifts my edges up and eventually several days later the edges lift completely. What can i do?

What material are you installing? are you overheating it? I've never found this to make an install worse. Hmm...
@Platypus1199779 ай бұрын
@@EncorePPFtint Using STEK dyno shield and having a hard time getting edges to stick. i don’t believe im overheating as the film isn’t warped or damaged however it seems no matter how much heat i use the edges usually come up for some reason, especially if exposed to moisture afterwards
@EncorePPFtint9 ай бұрын
That shouldn't be a problem. I don't get it. Have you tried a different material and see if you get the same outcome. This technique has worked for me with every film I've tested. I have not tried the stek films, though.

I used to install stek for 3 years and honestly that was one of the main cons to stek. The adhesive is not that strong and requires a lot of heating and making sure you use a lot of IPA and rub the edges quite a few times before install to get a good seal at the end. I would use a mini torch for my edges with stek.
