I really enjoyed the last couple meta-points about letting prjoects go when it's their time (or designing them to be leaky) Strong projects loosely held baby

It's honestly such a relief to let projects go

Q: Are all buckets leaky / is it good if all buckets are leaky? So the projects that stick are the ones that you’re internally motivated to continue.

It's highly dependent on where you're at in your self-development journey. *Finishing every project you put in bucket 2:* - is good for practicing the skill of finishing - if it was the wrong project to take on, the pain of finishing provides feedback to take on 'better' projects in the future (improved judgement of what projects to do) - builds trust in yourself that you can accomplish what you set out to do *Every project is leaky:* - situations change rapidly, and letting go of a project opens you up for something better - finishing projects is easier when you're internally motivated - Excess build-up of unfinished projects that you "have to finish" can cause paralysis, so letting go can free that up. IMO the end goal is to put everything in bucket 1 (leaky). If your internal motivations are clear to you, the things that need to be finished will get done.

Points 1 and 5 were key to me. I usually don't have enough clarity on what the end goal of the project is so it makes it hard for me to start. And the resistance is just annoying, but I think I just need to learn to push forward.

Something that helps me: pretend I'm writing to a friend about what I'm up to. Explain what I'm trying to do with this project, how I'll get there, and why I care enough to take it on.
