Love the vid bro. I do the same stuff for Striper, but on the east coast. So cool to see someone in Cali doing it too!

You should try bucktail with some sort of pork rind substitute and swim and jerk the lure through the water. Probably one of the most versatile striper lures hands down.

Good info! I'm definitely a striper guy. I will say this, I'm not a brand loyalist, but Yozuri makes an excellent jerkbait. Also, a good bit of my Stripers on the soft plastics ( fluke, bass Assassin, etc) are caught on the up and down motion as opposed to the side to side. Great vid and I'm subbing!

Nice informative video. Another thing I would add is once you land the fish and the jerkbait is still hooked onto the fish don't let the fish shake so much especially if you are fishing rocky areas. The jerkbait will get destroyed (paint chips, broken bill or worst case cracked jerkbait). Happy Fishing.

I went to shing hi bend... And yup it might be like the locals there say plenty of fish but know its "haunted".... My story: I was walking to the waterfalls with a friend (he didn't know about the stories). And I swear we saw a truck with people along the river and as we approched it thinking the truck was next to the river..... and nope, no truck, no people, no river... The feeling of someone or "something" watching you.....

is a sp minnow, cotton cordell red fin & Yo-zuri hydro minnow considered a jerk bait? guys on the east coast don't call the lures I just mentioned as jerkbaits for striped bass. what is the difference between a jerkbait and one of the minnow plugs I mentioned? or is this a east coast west coast terminology for the same lures?
