I really appreciate how you don't just get a charter and film that. You take the time to fish the area from the shore, finding different spots. If you are heading for valdez this year we could show you some awesome spots. My fishing buddies and I are based out of Fairbanks/North Pole, and already have our dates for this year's trip

@@MrDavidaraujo123 Ya man, I'm more than willing to help where I can. Shoot me an email To be honest, that's awfully early for Coho, a little late for Chinook and sockeye. You can probably pull some nice, dime-bright pinks, and I could put you on some spots to get some shrimp that is easily withing paddling distance in a small boat. If you like hiking a bit, or have someone gusto for paddling/someone to drop you I a small boat, I can out you on a spot or two to go for a libgcod, Halibut, or both if you are lucky. You'll need a rod with at least 600 ft of line though, as there can be some deep holes, and you need extra if a Hali tries to take off on you. You could even do it in a canoe, if you are nice an competent in one, but I'd go around a crawdad size at least, in order to throw on 2-4 shrimp traps and make the paddling worthwhile, so you can drop a few pots on your way out, or just do a quick paddle out in the morning, and check then in the evening after fishing

There's still Salmon running in Oct???
@austinholm-mcrae27773 жыл бұрын
They are pretty late if you are looking for eaters, not to mention that they are nearing their spawn area so catch and release is preferable at that point, but yes. I have caught salmon staging at the river mouth, still in the ocean right before their run, as late as September 14th, but that's near the DEAD end for getting them from the ocean still nice and pretty

There's a 2nd smaller run in october at this location that runs up the Lowe river. A tiny stream goes through the property at my place and you can see coho in there sometimes right through the winter months ..dec.

Heres an idea..have someone in waders to net the fish..vs banging these salmon all over the rocks.

I was alone this day
@littlegoobie3 жыл бұрын
waders also don't work at the spot you were in. Maybe down the way a bit farther, but not there. Where the rocks are, it drops off right at the rocks and only goes to more big slippery rocks that you can't stand on. If you're on the flat ground, the water's pretty low for fishing.
