Күн бұрын

Welcome back to another episode of Jives Fishing! Today, we headed to Punggol Waterfront 2 to fish for some golden snappers. We decided to film a tutorial on how to effectively catch snappers when fishing in Singapore as snappers are picky fishes. This tutorial includes our personal advice + 5 tips to catch snappers, and we managed to catch 2 decent-sized golden snappers at Punggol today.
Do note that these tips are not set in stone and are simply what we've found helpful in our own experiences. If you guy have any other tips for fishing for snapper or fishing in singapore in general, do let us know in the comments below! Enjoy the video!

Love your videos, always looking forward to new ones from you guys. Being an angler myself, i know the effort, energy, time and resources required behind every fishing trip can be exhausting. Fishing is not a lazy man's sport. And then there is also the unseen back-end activities required for uploading - so a big THANK YOU to you guys. I am a middle aged angler but am not ashamed to say i learnt alot from you guys. Also liked how you guys are not too flashy - humble, simple and practical. Thumbs up!

Thank you for your educational videos and sustainable fishing, which sg should work towards, not only for our hobby and as well for the next generation too. I had been fishing waterfront last 20 years and it has changed a lot!! But may I ask about something about this video while you fish at waterfront: 1) The tide is quite strong, I am using 20 pound line and size 1 sinker, I think it will still drift away. What size sinker you used? Size 2? 2) Do you fish at night just for the snappers or day time makes a different? 3) You fished in coming tide or out going? 4) Your 12 footer rod, do you cast over the floating barriers or just before it? (as it doesn't makes sense how you are able to retrieve it casting over it lol)
@JivesFishing
@JivesFishing 3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Here are our opinions 1) We usually use minimum size 3 unless for the ultralight rod (size 1/2). 2) Actually we fish night time more because daytime busy haha. But some people say that snappers more common at night, to us is about the same bah. 3) We usually fish whenever we have time 😂 so dun really pay attention to tide. However, we have got catches on all kinds of tides. 4) we cast before it. We tried casting over a few times, the hit rate is higher but usually reel back that time sangkot so.. haha
