I gave up fishing in my local area because I would snag and bust off close to 50% of the casts I’d throw out. It’s a really nasty spot for it. After watching some of your videos I switched to these weedless rigs around a month ago. Since then I’ve barely lost any gear at all. I’ve launched them over the tops of trees and put them into the stupidest places but they usually always come back out the other side. A big thank you to this channel for helping me fish my own local spots and actually catch some really decent fish! These rigs are magic and I’d highly recommend them to anybody 👍

Thanks for the kind words Chris. I am a passionate weedless fisho when the technique is required and have enjoyed watching others have success fishing weedless. It may be a technique that many of us use only a few percent of our fishing time, however in those situations it will catch 99 percent of the fish. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin

Great presentation Justin yes there great for fishing weedless where is has not been fished heavily because of heavy cover , or even pelagic fish on the surface......

My favourite way to fish at the moment is 2.5 in curly tails or slim swims with a 1/12 #4 hook snakelocks, it's been deadly and with the extra length of the snakelocks I fined my leader lasts longer before I have to re-tie it. Love these weedless systems

Justin, every time I go fishing, I fantasize that Z-Man would have a much broader range of removable weights that could be used across the _entire_ Chinlockz line. That would be beyond awesome. Please, PLEASE, *_PLEASE_*
@tackletacticstv76874 жыл бұрын
Sounds cool to me xyzct. Are you looking for additional weights in the range, or have something else in mind? Cheers, Justin
@xyzct4 жыл бұрын
@@tackletacticstv7687, Justin, well I love the SnakeLockz concept, and own 3/0, 4/0, and 5/0 in 1/8, 1/4, and 3/8 oz. And I use Chinlockz across the size and weight range from 2/0 to 12/0. But there are many times when I need to add various sizes of bullet weights to the larger Chinlockz (Texas rig style) to match the conditions (jetty fishing where it can be from flat to large surf, and from little current to strong current). So it would be _awesome_ if Z-Man could produce a wide range of removable head-weights, from tiny to say 2oz, that would transform the Chinlockz into a broader extension of the Snakelockz concept. (Obviously the attachment mechanism would need to be stronger for the heavier weights attached to the larger Chinlockz.) I would KILL* to have this Z-Man option. I absolutely love your products, I've spent a small fortune on them and think they're worth every pennny. But adding this option would be over-the-top awesome! * Fish ... I'd kill fish ... Btw, Justin, I appreciate all of your videos. I've learned a ton and apply your ideas every time I go fishing. And I'm better for it.

@@xyzct thanks for the kind words, they fire me up to produce more videos. We currently manufacture 1/12oz - 1/2oz, so I will investigate further at this end and look into some heavier weight options, as since the addition of the larger 10/0 and 12/0 models this would definitely be something that could be applied across a variety of environments and species. Thanks for the feedback and all the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin

Good way to fish for jewies off the rocks if you use the 7inch jerkshads and the right belly weight you can also get the plastic to shimmer as it sinks down the water column.

I'd like a soft vibe producer to offer the same size lure in different weights. For shallow and deep, and slow and fast retrieves. This is where traditional soft plastics have it over one weight plastics.
@tackletacticstv768711 ай бұрын
Hey @richardmason9097, I agree that this has always been a limitation of pre-rigged plastics and hence the massive range of jigheads and plastics available. With the ability to weight a single plastic with up to 6 or 8 different weights to suit your application, it makes it tricky to make everyone happy, so pre-rigged plastics are often set up to suit a general application. It's a good idea and feedback noted and I will pass it onto the team here to see what we can come up with. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin

Hi Justin - I use the chinlockz finesse on 2" slimswimz quite a bit but I don't really like the snakelockz weight at the front. I reckon it buggers up the fall of the plastic. I've been adding lead wire to the belly of my chinlockz finesse hooks, and I reckon it produces a much more natural presentation on the drop than a snakelockz (especially as the smallest snakelocks is 1/12th). Any chance TT will release the chinlockz finesse range with SWS, in low weights to match the finesse sizes (e.g. 1/16th)? I'd be their first customer if they did ;)
@tackletacticstv76874 жыл бұрын
Hey Binaryfarto, I think I would be the second! I will follow this one up at this end and check out if it's something we can effectively produce. In the meantime I hope you keep catching them on the MacGyver version ;). Cheers, Justin
