Very goofy channel, my family has had quite a few of these Japanese hybrids so I'm glad you made it into my recommended with the towing video! Subscribed

I'm excited to see what it looks like once you get all 4 bigger tires on. Nice video!

Definitely the best video on the most cost effective lift for the front end. Did you wind up wrapping that lower strut knuckle mount custom cut part around like the bottom of the strut and bolt maybe with a washer in between the knuckle or just butt weld to extend down further or what? How about the rear end, do tell if more than strut spacer lift only? Liked, commented and subscribed! Feel free to do the same. My first gen 2 is the 4S2 Driftwood Pearl with similar tires you started with, RubberShocks and 40mm strut spacers. There were also wheel spacers where I think quarter inch on the front and 1 inch on the rear, though I forget since removed as I thought I had sold and am still waiting to do that. My plan is to use strut mounts for the top part of the lift and was thinking cut out from a yard the strut mount mount frame piece, which is easy on a gen 3 though deterring me on the gen 2 so have not progressed among many other reasons. Will be the plan for the next, hopefully more like your ride coming from a more rust free community. Any thoughts on using Corolla, Vibe or Matrix interchangeable sway bars or springs? On another note, I've wondered about if I can find the time to repurpose the bad modules that usually only have on bad cell in by bypassing the bad cell if can't restore and using for like solar off the grid projects. Was also thinking more realistically can stash enough to have 28 for a core for potentially purchasing a new gen 4 pack from a Toyota dealer. Seems one or two out on the west coast might sell for almost the same price as an LKQ lower mileage one.

@@jafinch78 in the next video I uploaded I show how I welded this scrap metal to the strut to lengthen it. Definitely better than using a strut spacer on the mount. Lengthening the strut from the bottom creates more room for bigger tires so they don’t rub on the spring base. I swapped out cells in this Prius to get it going again when I bought it. I reused cells from another battery that I had.

@@jafinch78 also I don’t think miles have as big of an impact on these batteries as time does. I have seen a gen 2 Prius with 80,000 with the DTC p0a80 replace hybrid battery pack. If you can afford it then new from Toyota is the way to go. But it is very pricy.

@@HybridGarageTV Yes, seems like electrochemically, they do better being used in optimal charge discharge conditions that require routine use and not sitting around. I like running a dedicated smart phone heads up display with Hybrid Assistant usually and then Dr Prius when I see conditions that are worrisome, e.g. MFD shows full charge all bars, dash lights. 12V battery can drain sitting around for a while as well. I've been looking into solar trickle charge maintaining them as an option as might be better than unplugging. Probably better to do the same with the HV battery and a DIY grid charger spec'd right. Lost a few of the 12V batteries, though pleasantly surprised more have been rejuvenated than gone as cores.

I spun out on the highway and smashed the rear into the concrete barrier. After using an angle grinder I had on hand to cut off some metal scraping the tire... It drove like that, in a totaled condition, for 4 months, being my daily commuter to college.
