We just bought a 2024 Bronco Outer Banks and my wife wanted to replace the 255/70/18 Duelers with some bigger and beefy. Doing some online tire size comparisons, and trying to find local inventory in stock, finally went with 285/65/18 Goodyear Duratracs (which we have had on a 2007 Wrangler Unlimited and our current 2018 Colorado ZR2). They are only about 1/2 inch taller but about 1-1/4 wider. Even though it's not a massive change, it still gives our Bronco that better look of an A/T tire.

I installed 315/70/17 on my base big bend with stock wheels and no lift, but crash bars removed, is the reason I'm getting tire rub because i used the stock rims? +55 offest? Also any offset +30 or lower will fix the rub issue? Since they use +30 on the sasquatch do you think that much of an offet on a base will cause any issues? thank you I liked and subed.

Great info, though once you got in to all that backspace and all with the 35s, I got lost. Just sort of looking ahead on when I replace my Black Diamond stock tires and I want to go to 35s without mods (if I can). I have a decent stock rim (not steely, but next one up) and hoping I can just change the tire size to 35s and think about the wheels at a later time.
@northridgenation Жыл бұрын
I'm showing that the steel and aluminum wheels for the Black Diamond non-Squatch is a 17" dia. x 7.5" width and has a +55 offset. The Squatch wheels used with 35s are 17" x 8" w/ +30 offset. If you put 35s on your stock wheels, you will more than likely be rubbing up against your sway bar when you turn. That extra 20mm of offset helps push the tire further out to avoid that problem. If you don't want to go with different wheels, take a look at a set of wheels spacers, like these from BORA: www.northridge4x4.com/part/wheel-spacers-adapters/21bronco1-00x4-bora-1in-wheel-spacer-kit-6x5-5 They are 1" (25.4mm) wide, so they will basically be doing the same thing as going from a +55mm offset to a +30 offset.
@kirkeric Жыл бұрын
@Northridge4x4 Appreciate that quick feedback. Sounds like it needs to be wheels and tires at same time though it sounds like even choosing the wheel needs to be pretty specific.
@northridgenation Жыл бұрын
@@kirkeric For the wheel, go with a 17x8.5 or 17.9 with an offset in to 0mm to +30mm range. The +30mm offset will match the Sasquatch wheel and that's the minimum you'd want. The 0mm will move the wheel out another 1-1/8" and that would be the maximum you'd want. Take a look at the TeraFlex Nomad wheels like we used on our Bronco that have a 0mm offest and will give your Bronco that aggresive poke of the tires: www.northridge4x4.com/part/non-beadlock-wheels/1058049-teraflex-nomad-split-spoke-off-road-wheel-17x8-5-6x5-5-metallic-black Or the Icon Rebound PROs which have a +25mm offset, that will tuck the tire under the fender a little more: www.northridge4x4.com/part/non-beadlock-wheels/21817858357sb-icon-vehicle-dynamics-rebound-pro-black-wheel-17x8-5-6x5-5

@@northridgenation Hey Brotha, I really appreciate you taking the time to provide this info. I have copied and saved this so I don't have to look it all up again when I'm ready. Those are a couple of nice wheels too (even though out of stock lol). Lastly, just so I don't ruin my welcome, on the tires, any recommended 35s? And I'm one that is less off road but like the capability when I need it, so I don't need a hugely aggressive looking tire but something that will travel well day to day too. You are a wealth of info. Much appreciated.

@northridgenation Жыл бұрын
The factory Sasquatch wheels have an inch more backspace (25mm) over the non-squatch models to help clear the 35s. So you may need wheel spacers. We haven't done 35s on OE wheels, so we can't answer this for sure. Thanks for the props.

@@cameron1912 But look at what all you get, upgraded gear ratios with locker, updated steering components, proper lift without cheesy spacers, wheels and tires alone would be over $4000, and to top it all off you get a warranty. I think people have their heads up their butts not to get the sas pkg if that what you are going for. And if you don’t like the wheels, sell them. allot of people would like to have them on their standard height Bronco’S for the extra width and aggressive look. People need to use there heads, even if your not going to take your Bronco on the trails, the other items pay for themselves. But to each their own, if you in the end want to spend more, go for it.
