Good job Steve nice addition to your car. To find a live wire I have a "needle pointed" probe that can be fitted on the positive fly lead of my multi meter. The point will easily put a small piercing through the insulation to the copper, saves unnecessarily opening a wire if you've got the wrong one.

I have as well but it doesn't work. The pin wont pierce the wire.

Watch your fingers with the blade it’s easy to slip and you were cutting towards your fingers I was cringing but otherwise good job hiding the wires was excellent

Blade wasn't that sharp. Probably cut better if I used a spoon.

Green/brown is the feed to the reverse light.

I’ve had some luck with putting some tape down before drilling through. This has stopped stuff ripping. Hope u had a bit of a break away from cars 😂

Hindsight and all that. Oh well, done now. Had a great break, back to it tomorrow. Somehow managed to do my back in wiring up the reverse cam the other day. No doubt be in agony again tomorrow at work.

@@pistonbroke Glad you had a good break. Hope your bad back doesn’t hold you up too much.

@@davyarthurs dose up on ibuprofen, I'll survive. It's mad, pull out an engine, all fine, route some wires and can't get out of bed the following day.

@@pistonbroke pleased to hear that. But yep, know the feeling :-( Doesn’t add up. Best stick to ripping out engines 😝

@@pistonbroke I know the feeling, just a tip to maybe avoid it in the future. Use 5 minutes a day too train the core muscles around lower back and abdomen. And it will be much more stable and hopefully you could be doing cables and pulling out engines. Best of luck from Norway.
