Y'all, please don't drive on this without the system fuse there. That's a 125 amp fuse- it's there as a safety. If you have blown that fuse, there's a reason. Without it there, if you have a direct short (which caused the fuse to blow in this case because the polarity was reversed) you're going to find it quickly by letting the smoke out of whatever caused the fuse to blow. In layman's terms, no fuse = fire when whatever has a short to ground heats up enough. Fix it right.

Exactly! Fuses just don't blow out or go bad from wear or use like light bulbs do. Most of the time if the fuse is blown for an unknown reason, just simply changing the fuse is not going to fix it.

It's the second video I seen where somebody has done this and blowing the same fuse no power steering. isn't this great all these new fangled electronics on these vehicles electric power steering rack electric power steering pumps.. I'm dealing with an issue on the 2013 Dodge Challenger no power steering.. has an electric power steering pump..believe I have the issue resolved out of fluid leaking o-rings on the reservoir.. I hope it's an easy and expensive fix...

If that fuse blew because you jump started a car and connected the jumper cable to that fuse then this would be an OK temporary solution in an emergency situation. If that fuse blew because of a problem with the wiring or steering rack and you take the fuse out, you are going to start a fire and cause a lot of damage.

Have the same issue with the power steering but not cause from jumping it. I tried this fuse change method but it doesn’t work. I have to wait about 5-10 mins until my power steering light stops blinking. Hopefully someone can direct me to a fix.

I’m not a mechanic, but the problem with my truck is that I found out the fuse is burned that cause the steering stiff to turn. If you have tried and not working for you, always recommend seeking for a mechanic near you that can help.

It’s could be the same solution, if it doesn’t help you, best is, I recommended contacting dealer that near you to find out the problem, or do some more research, sometimes it’s help.
