Thanks! This helped me with my 2008 FORD F-150 XLT to replace a broken antenna. The plastic cap comes off with a sharpened wooden paint stirrer, then 3 phillps screws --THEN pull off the wire on the bottom of base and replace the base and or get new antenna.

Great video but can you explain how you removed the plastic cap? I’ve tried to pry it off with a screwdriver but it feels like I’m going have to break it to get it off. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Mine broke a few months ago and it wiggles haha looks simple. I was going to throw the old one but one day i left my keys inside the truck and we used the wiggly antenna and bent it to push the unlock from inside.. now imagine having a wiggly bent antenna in my truck hahaha so embarrassing.. thanks for the video man!

Where do you find the threaded bolt that connects the antenna to the base? Seems there are multiple possibilities and no simple way to know which is correct ot where to get.
