I would not eat that bologna sammich after that! I am afeared that there would not be a part 2! Great information Trey and as always the candor and reference was second to none. I am going to start sharing all of your content again and see if we cannot get you the subs that you so richly deserve. (You are one of the top 4 fishing personalities on KZbin as far as I am concerned) Love ya brother!

Hang on to that rod, and if you find another broken rod in your local area...keep it. That's what I'm using for my internal splints. I went out and tested my first repair last night, and I landed 10 on it, and it held up great...and the action felt good. I hope you and your family are doing well Mr. Patrick. Be safe brother, and thanks so much for stopping by.

Cool story on the rod. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

How's it going Mr. John? I took this rod out this week to stress test it for the video. I've landed 10 so far with it...and it's held up great, and the action feels the same...as well as the balance. If I put less than $300 in a couple pieces of equipment, I think I could fix most rods with a somewhat personal finish. I hate throwing things away, if they can be fixed.

Thank you Mr. Jack! I appreciate that buddy. Do you think Bass Pro will let you return the rod? If not, can you shorten the rod and just add on a tip guide? They have the assorted pack of tip guides in several different sizes on Amazon for $11. Other than that, you would just need epoxy.

Love the intro- I have only broken one rod in my fishing history, it was an ugly stick, broke half into - did I mention it sat in the garage for about 10 years without use ? Nice information for those that would under take it, I don't feel like I would be one of those people unless left with no other options. I buy cheap stuff anyhow LOL
@fishsmack2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Mr. James! I hung on to a cheap rod that I broke years ago, so when I broke one of my good rods...I had the needed material to fix the good rod. With the way things are going, we may have to learn how to fix things like our grandparents and great-grandparents did during the depression. I feel like it's coming. I hope you are doing well brother. There's nothing wrong with buying cheap!! I do the same thing. 😃
