This guy deserves an Award for making this video! I've had a broken front pocket zipper on my suitcase for about 10 years. Just watched this 5 minute video and fixed it in 10 seconds! No joke...unbelievable! Don't cut out the teeth and sew it back up, like other videos suggest. Try this 1st! 💯 🏆 👏🏻

Outstanding presentation and very clear. I have been using this method for some time, but now I can explain clearly how. Got lots of sharing to do. If you have a zipper block that has become too weak or broken completely, snip the teeth tracks open at the very bottom, slide on a new zipper block, closing the zip and put a tiny blob of hot glue or similar where you have snipped the tracks to close it.

That was a deliciously brilliant presentation of zipper-fixing. I LOVED that you defined every part of the zipper, and I could file these elements of zipper anatomy, easily in my brain. Now I know that when the throat of a zipper gets too wide, you have to take a pair of pliers and choke the darn thing. That was the most useful bit of knowledge I've come across this week (month, year?) Thanks, muchly.

They have all said it. This is so simple yet, unknown. Each jacket, purse etc should come with a link to this video or a description on how to fix a stuck zipper. Thank you so very much!!

HALLELUJAH!!! Was going to pay someone $50 to 'fix' the zipper on my 15 yr old Mountain Hardwear down jacket. Just used pliers as you showed in the video and voila, zipper now closes properly again. THANK YOU!!! 👍

Holy crap!! Worked perfectly the first try! Like everyone else I always thought this meant the teeth were worn out and it was unfixable. Will definitely save this!

Absolutely excellent demonstration! Up close and personal as well as thorough with necessary vocabulary; the silence helped me concentrate better. I would use a thin flat-head screwdriver rather than a knife which I might ruin or hurt something (like me). Where was this decades ago? I know; we didn't have internet back in the 1960s. All the stuff I threw away just because of a zipper really pains me now. I did save a few by removing the whole zipper and sewing in a new one; ten times the work plus the cost of the zipper.

Unfortunately since covid, I've been poor, and I previously bought a rather expensive fishing bag. Well, over the last year the zippers stopped working on 3 pockets on my fishing bag. They are now fixed because of you, and I don't have to buy a new fishing bag. Thank you!

Thank you very much Science Sir!! This was a great tutorial! With so many repair shops closing as the older generation retires, we can’t find anyone to fix our small , but very irritating problems . Shoe repair shops and garment repair shops closed. I hate throwing away items that are still purposeful that need some adjustments to make them wholesome again. Our landfill and Mother Earth don’t need more stuff. I will now tackle my broken zipper on my bags …..🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 thanks to your willingness to share your knowledge. Please continue to enlighten us !

Thank you very much. I was able to save a bag with a faulty zipper. I'm sure that you have saved lots of money for many people globally. Money that would have been spent either replacing the item or paying for someone else to fix it. It's also very good for the environment as it reduces waste... so that's a bonus 😊.
