HOW TO FIX A BROKEN REMIS BLIND - Motorhome - Campervan

In this video kirsty fixes our long time broken cab blind on the drivers side window , forced to be on the camera i film kirsty fixing the problematic and common issue of the brittle hinge , after watching ‪@BobEarnshawMoHo‬ fixing the exact same fault we finally had a go at it ourselves , SORRY , kirsty had a go at it herself , and well , we were overjoyed with the outcome !!

Kudos! You fixed it. I have exactly the same problem. I tried to glue it with superglue and it lasted about 1/4 of a millisecond in place. So now I'll have to throw the towel and get the part. Thanks for the video.

Good work I took our side remis blinds off as they were uncomfortable and rattling when driving - now have 2 thermal suction cupped blinds which are much better

Hi, this is obviously a weakness of the Remis system which is why I prefer Dometic blinds. If it happens again, I have seen a video where they fix the problem for a fraction of the price with two plastic cable ties.

Great job #TeamKirsty My old van (Adria) had slightly different side blinds (the windscreen centre clip twanged off bit I managed to refit it), the new van however will have the same as your van, so I know where to go if mine break 🤭👍

the famous blind rattle , simple answer no ! , and if you do find out please let me know ! just this morning i went to fill up and one particular blind is driving me mad! i swear it’s got louder , thing is how do we check them when in motion ?

@@TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel hi check out basically epic adventures , I’ve just watched it and he installed the whole blind system on his van and suggested using felt tape where the blinds retreat apparently there’s no rattle at all! I’m off to buy some felt tape now lol!
