12v Bosch really useful, mini angle grinder also comes in very handy. Takes up no space

Hey James loved the video, I'd love to know your thoughts on push fittings specifically JC speed fit non demountable. I've just fixed a leak in a heating pipe but have no idea about longevity. There's no drips at the moment but 12 month warranty had me thinking.

Wet vac the pipes to help get rid of any residual water.

Hey, Plumberman, you ever seen a copper pipe that wasn't grounded and galvanically corroded to 1/3rd it's diameter - just about to burst? It was all sorts of shades of copper corrosion. There's green, blue; and it was flaking.

Lidl have the exact same 12v mini saw named parkside and it is 20quid right now, exactly the same just differently branded

Great video. The horror of fixing this problem in such a cramped location and above your head... Presuming you were using your phone as a torch, maybe invest in a convenient torch that you can carry about? I've bought a wee torch and clipped it to the pouch of my Leatherman multitool that I keepmon my belt.

no, don't work your hands, wear gloves so everything becomes 20x tougher, and your hands are worse off after dust since it gets trapped in the gloves.

Why not use compression (we call them Connex) slip couplers so no soldering bollox in tricky situations? Bear in mind water will run down to the lowest part of the ceiling from the leak so the actual pipe leak is not always abeam from the ceiling leak. Those 12V Bosch tools are suitable for light duty in my experience but handy yes. Batteries (two cells) don't go very far

oooooh, so this is meant to be a HARD plumbing job? This seems to be the regular thing I get called out to do. Maybe I ought to charge double what I charge for these, hmm? God my hands feel so sore doing bs jobs like this, haha.
