Very cool....I will have to remember that when I retire in NH.....but for now, living in Massachusetts, the state requires that we pay for Glass coverage, so being that way, I would go to a guy like you in order got the insurance to cover it. People here say the law makes glass coverage FREE....but nothing in the world is FREE.....we pay for it in our insurance. (and we have very high rates here in Massachusetts!) Thanks for the video.

The correct way to do it is to not scretch on top of the open. leave the rasion un scratched otherwise you have to polish the dot. It is the best just to use so little rasin and just cover the dot aera . scratch as little as possible. if you leave the dot part un scratched, it will be transparant instead of a fog blur dot.

Right and that’s what I don’t like. My windshield was shit by a pebble, which caused two teeny tiny fractures. Do u think it’s worth calling a professional? I don’t want that dot look tho.

My new car got a tiny nicks caused by rock. the finger can feel the uneveness. the dealership said no need to repair or cannot be repair, but I can see the nicks when I drive which bother me quite a lot. Any suggestion?

Same with myself. I drive on a highway with over 5 Gravel Quarries along it. This means, when I am heading to work, almost no chance of not being passed by a huge dump truck carrying gravel. I figure, when I get enough chips, I can have the windshield replaced for around $225 total. Trouble is, after replacing it, its like being on pins and needles with a new windshield having a freshly loaded gravel truck pass me. A lot of times, its not so much the stones coming from the dump. Its when he picks up speed and stones spin out from his treads. At the gravel yard, he is driving over gravel. I have had both hit my windshield, from his dump bed and his tires. It sucks. I have learned to live with it. I have had 1 stone hit my Toyota yesterday and today, one stone hit my Subaru. The one that hit my Subaru was caused by New Yorker passing me on the right in town. He spun it from his tire. New yorkers are buying up everything expensive here in CT. I wonder how they got their money that they seem to never run out of? Stock market, with insider trading perhaps? Jewish Lawyers? I dunno.

If you do the repair correctly it will be the same results.

You do NOT scrap with a razor blade that way. Easiest way to scratch glass. This is from a glaziers perspective too

Sorry but you are wrong. That is the recommended way to clean off the extra.

As a windshield repair technician, you hold the razor perpendicular to the windshield and go back and forth, it will not scratch it. If you hold it at a 45 degree then you chance pulling out the pit filler and starting all over again. Also, DIY kits are low quality resins, recommended to find a person who specializes in this field (not safelite)
