Thank you for making the video. My tundra was doing the same thing so I did what you said and still no luck. The whole time it was just a dome light on top. I just adjusted the on and off back and forth and it worked. The light turned off :). Thanks again

I untighten it and tighten again and boom fixed & it happen because my passenger closed the door with the seatbelt In between so it must have been lose or something but thanks man

Take both battery terminals off then on and see what happens. If that does not work you need to find your alarm fuse (where the red light blinks when the car is off and unplug it )

I duct taped a bottle cap to the other piece that connects with the bit on the chassis. FIXED.

Update, it was an issue with the button for my rear jatch/door on the fj. However it came back on. Then i took the screw out and saw there was water on the screw. It rained very hard last night. Im gonna have to look for leaks i guess.

It all depends on the weather and the health of your battery I had a pretty good battery and it drained it in a day

Great video and a help. Note that dielectric grease is meant to be used on electrical connections to keep water out, it does not enhance conductivity or help keep the connection in electrical continuity. Might help prevent corrosion if you already have a good electrical connection.

@@tosgem I don't know all, but Google it yourself, or misuse it all you want, I don't care. Dielectric grease is also known as tune-up grease. It is a silicone-based and non-conductive type of grease to protect electrical connectors from corrosion, moisture, and dirt.

That is a Torx driver bit. Probably a T8 or T10 on a Toyota. My Tundra has similar. Probably 4 or 5 bucks at Home Depot or online.

Exactly just the contact you only take the fuse out temporarily to prevent draining of your battery

I have a computer screen that reads door ajar and keeps lights on with car offer on I have a Ford Taurus 2003 SES someone please let me know is there a fuse to the computer screen that I can pull to disable the computer from telling the car that the doors open and if I disable the computer will it mess up the whole car it's just a little screen that reads the mileage you know the doors open the truck's open etc. Someone please let me know anything that will help I'm homeless I live in my car I cannot have this light on I cannot have my battery die please help
