I replace my about 30 minutes ago the way to put that nut into the base of that handle is using a 2.5 mm T handle Allen wrench

Nice video but you did not show the part number? and why did you have to remove the base to just change the cartridge?

Thank you, Hill. I can't recall why I had to remove the base... I believe it allows a better visualization of the holding bolt and probably a better leverage. The part for this particular faucet was: Glacier-Bay-Single-Control-Cartridge-Assembly-864860 You have to make sure it is the same faucet. They have different models. To ensure that you are getting the right cartridge, I would remove the faulty cartridge and compare the layout to the one you have in stock.

How do you get the thing apart? How do you get the 'cap' off? number 6 on the parts list? Pry? Screw? How do you get the handle off? What size allen wrench for the set screw to get the handle off?

To take it apart, I unscrewed the holding plastic nut underneath the sink. That will allow you to extend the faucet appliance higher above the sink. There is an access hole in the handle that would allow to visualize a small handle securing part (socket screw) as described in google search: "Glarks 200-Piece M3 4 5 6 8 Hex Allen Head Socket Set Screw Assortment Kit". It might be tricky at first. I don't recall the size of the allen key, but it is pretty small. I just tried the keys one by one to see which one fits best. Be careful not to lose the screw (very tiny). You got this!

P.S. once the "allen head grab screw" is loosened or completely removed, you can just pull the handle out.

What you do when one of the hoses leaking from one of the 3 hoses
@Worldkeepers Жыл бұрын
You probably need to replace the washers. If it doesn't solve it, replace the hose system.
