I’m sorry to hear that. Have you also tried a different power cable and a different power outlet? Also there are videos online how to get a stuck disc out by removing the ps5 covers and a particular screw you can turn. Hope that will help you!

I have the same issue here. I bought Ps5 digital only 1 week ago. I made the set up properly, downloaded a game, played 4-5 hrs with no issue. Yesterday I wanted to play a game and when I tried to turn on my console, neither from the controller nor from the power button on the device I could turn it on! I checked the cables etc.. all worked fine with other devices. I tried every trick I found on KZbin but no success. This is really annoying to have this issue with a console I just bought. I also have Xbox Series S, I am using it since 2021, so far I never had one single issue with it.

Well an issue i had I was playing the night before and the next day it wouldn't turn on all there was just a blue light and thats all so every time I would press the power button a blue light will turn on and it would just stay blue sooo I opened up just to do a cleaning which idk if that helped but it look like it did so once I build it all together I heard a beep and it was turing on and connecting to the today so I thought it work but now there was another problem the Ps5 would stay on for 5 secs and then shut off and kept repeating so im not an professional or anything but apparently the it was the fan that stop working idk how the day before its fine and the next day it stops working so I took it out and ordered a new one to replace it and well the Ps5 was working again so long story short might probably be the fan

The thing that is dumb is if it is the fan idk why the ps5 wasn't turing on to begin with so thats why I opened and took everything apart just to give it a cleaning which idk if that helped or not because after when I put everything back it was turning on and running and idk why it couldn't do that before if it was the fan that needed fixing just to save you time from taking everything apart just probably replace the fan and probably make sure its clean from the ps5 vents where air passes inside if not can cause it to malfunction the dust

Hi, thank you for your video. However, I still have this issue with my ps5. This happened today and every time I turned it on, it went to the repairing console storage screen. It restarted after the repairing but then it shut off immediately. I then went into safe mode and installed the latest update. Didn’t work. I went back to safe mode and selected the rebuild database. My ps5 rebooted and went to the “your ps5 wasn’t turned off properly” screen and when I press ok, it just shut down completely. Tried all the methods your video showed but still no luck. I don’t even know what to do at this point.

Hi, no problem. First of all I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. Just to confirm, did you also try to power cycle the ps5? Also when it shuts down, does it make any beeping sounds? Otherwise I think the last option would be to contact Sony. Hope your issue gets resolved soon for you.

I can’t say for sure what the actual cause of the issue is that you are having on your PS5. But I can imagine the heat wouldn’t be good for the PS5. If the tips didn’t work I would suggest to have the PS5 checked. Hope your issue gets resolved soon.

My ps5 wont turn off. I took it off rest mode to download 2k 23. I downloaded the most recent update after then before you know it the system was acting like it was rebooting, all I see are blue flashing lights, and no screen. The system only beeps once no matter how long I hold down the button. And get this I can unplugg it from the power supply for as long as I want (20 mins to 3 hrs) as soon as I plug it up it the flashing blue lights come right back on. It just had to happen the day 2k came out lol my system was fine before then

Did you follow all the steps from the video? Also maybe a silly question, but are you holding the correct button to power on the ps5? (Had some people who made a mistake on this because they were stress from the issue).

@@RobinB360 Yes Robin. Apparently is a common problem of the PS5 that has to do with the board itself. The technicians told me they have 3 units with the same problem an at the moment it is not possible to solve due to a lack of spare components of the ps5. Im screwed. I will now try to get a console repair from sony or a refund if my warranty still applies

First of all, sorry to hear that you are having this issue with your ps5. Just a few questions: - Did you unplug the power cable from the ps5 AND wall socket? - if so, for how long? - And have you fried booting to safe mode?

Thank you, going to use this the next time it happens. For some reason my ps5 will do this but after a few minutes it’ll start up normally.. usually doesn’t start if I have it off for a while. No rest mode fully turned off..

Right. Tried all the options I can do without going into software. I shut down the ps5 the night, unplugged the power from the wall (bad surges here). The next morning I replug the power. Push the ps button on my controller. And to my horror the damn thing doesn't start up. Imagine my fury at that moment. I fking knew something shit had happened. And I'm the ONLY ONE who handles the console. It's in my room. Laying horizontally on top of my PC. They don't normally share use at the same time, but the airflow coming out of the top of the pc isn't hot. But I digres. The pc wasn't on that evening of some PS gaming. Overheating was not an issue. The disc I used was still in there, of course I used the screw ejector. Tried to cycle the power. Nothing. Tried to insert a disc while cable was in and powered. Nothing. Well. Off to a repair centre we go. Hope I don't lose my PS during courier transits...

That is sad. Personally I haven’t had that issue myself. I think your best bet is to contact Sony.
