If your seat belt won't retract or if it's slow to retract, this will usually fix it 99% of the time.

thanks mate it worked well. what i also found is after cleaning i applied a water based silicone spray to the seat belt that dries without a residue and it helped a lot too.

Awesome fix. Have you run into the passenger airbag sensor code pop up? If you have, how did you fix this ? I’ve tried the 360 emulator, no luck.

Thanks. And no, I haven't run into any airbag issues. And this is even after taking out the passenger seat as well as swapping my steering wheel. Inside have the airbag recall done, though.

The air bag is a recall item. I received a notice from GM in the mail. I took it to the dealership and had to wait for 2 weeks for it to come in. It was free of charge. The module is around 800 bucks and has to be married to the BCM.

One tip I've seen on other videos is also to clean/sand a little bit of the plastic on the pillar loop. In your car, it would be where the seatbelt enters the body around your shoulder area. What happens is this part gets seat belt "powder" accumulated over the years, and it also slows down the retraction a lot. But the seatbelt needs to lock for it to save a life from the brand new vehicle. It didn't look like it is locking. The belt might retract back but, if it does not lock what good is it?

Heh, I thought it was just my make/model of car. Anyway, I hope this helps because they don't make seatbelts for my car anymore. Not to mention OEM seatbelts are expensive and aftermarket ones are much cheaper but they say to use them at your own risk even though they claim they meet federal highway standards but they aren't certified by the government. Just don't get in an accident, right?

This did not help for someone whose seat belt does not retract. Your seat belt DOES retract. Mine is completely slack with 0 retract. Make accurate video titles

It's called "research" for a reason. Doesn't fit your needs, move on to the next video. I don't believe there's a need to be aggressive towards the creator.
