Hey Kerrod just wanted to let you know that this video has changed my game significantly. From feeling odd on the tee and always hitting a 3 hybrid (which mostly also sliced but not as bad as a driver), to getting complimented on my drives :) Thanks very much.

My whole life (I'm 68), I've hit a push fade or slice. I always adjusted my clubface angle when it was on the ground as I addressed the ball. The method that you use for adjusting clubface and rolling the forearms was a game changer for me. I now hit straight or baby draws and have added about 30-40 yards to my drives. Thank you so much.

That’s incredible! I'm so glad to hear that adjusting your clubface and forearm rotation made such a difference. Thanks for sharing your success 👍

I just would like to thank you for your help, this video has changed my game,life, and attitude. I'm 55 year old self taught golfer who could never hit a driver. The Set up is wonderful. I still haveva slight problem with slicing irons, can the twist of the club 6:24 at address help with Irons?

Kerrod, I recently developed a nasty push slice. My path was decent but my face was open. I just couldn’t get it closed! So I tried your grip technique on the range today. I could have cried! It worked!!!! Thank you so much!

Should i have to force the release? I feel like every time i try release the clubhead it can either close down too much and go left, i subconsciously hold it off or it just opens anyway. I don't have a tonne of lower body rotation so i suspect that might be something to do with it. Another great video Kerrod!

Thanks for the comment! You definitely don’t want to hold anything off. Sounds like it could be a wrist angle problem, so make sure the back of your left wrist is not cupped at the top of the swing and then ensure that you’re swinging to the right if you are right-handed, Golfer. Try the one-handed drill and see how you go, and let me know!

@@kerrodgraygolf i feel like I can not release the club at all. have been hitting some wicked slices. I just kentucky windage it and aim miles left and try to play the push slice but....its time to figure it out for real.

The first two steps make perfect sense, it’s the third that won’t click mentally and physically for me. I don’t get how or what I’m trying to do - as I swing my hands forward, i want to turn them down? Wouldn’t topspin make the ball go less far? Or straight down into the grass?

This is a really good drill, I am using the set of the club face and have totally lost my big slice with the driver. Only problem now is my bad shot is a low and left raking hook occasionally. Any suggestions at all thanks
@kerrodgraygolf8 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing that's good to hear! You should try and focus on your grip and alignment. Make sure your grip isn't too strong,
@ShoodaMagavn7 ай бұрын
@@kerrodgraygolf by too strong, do you mean grip too tight? I have tried this and also experience the odd bad draw/hook.
@deantonna7 ай бұрын
@@kerrodgraygolf…ah ok ..I think I previously have had too strong a grip with the driver in an effort to fight the slice. Also, would you advocate keeping the shoulders square but pulling the right foot back to help promote an in to out path. ? Thanks.
@PauloG1007 ай бұрын
@@ShoodaMagavnBy too strong he means you may have the grip turned too much to the right if you are a right-handed golfer. Normally on your left hand you would be able to see 2 knuckles on your golf glove when in your position ready to make a swing, too strong would be more than that, maybe three or four knuckles on your glove.
@deantonna6 ай бұрын
..update -I weakened the grip slightly and have striped 11 drives in a row straight down the middle with a hint of draw. You are golf god Kerrod !👍

How long do I practice this before it becaomes more natural? Or so i dpnt slip back into the same problem
@kerrodgraygolf3 ай бұрын
I would recommended you do some deliberate practice routinely so you don't slip back into the same problem!
