Awesome, I hope it fixed the problem. I'm not mechanically inclined either, but I can do the simple fixes like this.

Had this problem with my Toro. I immediately thought it was the solenoid. I shorted it to verify. Ordered a new one. Easy replacement. That did the trick! Production comment: your instruction is excellent, but PLEASE add decent lighting to enhance your videos. Watching you work in the dark is counterproductive. Cheers!

I've got the same problem on a Hustler Sport. I can't find anything that even looks remotely close to that little contraption. It will start eventually. But it'll take 30-40 attempts (turn of the switch) I don't want to have to pay someone to fix it. Would it most likely be somewhere under the seat near the battery ?
@nuttygnomehomestead4 ай бұрын
I would definitely start checking there. All the little safety switch/sensors can be a real PITA. The process of elimination usually gets it narrowed down quickly. The battery and solenoid are typically my 1st two things I check.

Good job man. It's if I'm thinking right it's your starter solenoid switch is bad.,or sticking due being worn out.
@nuttygnomehomestead8 ай бұрын
Yes it is the solenoid. easy fix

May want to check the starter bendix make sure it's disengaging they are notorious for getting stuck and burning up the starter

I just fixed my Big Dog zero turn with the same problem. Add a relay switch to the starter is all you need to do
