Word, I have serious PTSD from my hair being destroyed too many times to count, just when I get my hair grown out to a good starting point and go in for a trim I leave utterly devastated and feeling violated not to mention the cost , honestly I’m numb now, I don’t enjoy my hair , I can’t stand looking at it and I feel hatred towards stylists and salons, there is no therapy to fix how I feel, I feel dead inside.

I went to a haircut place on Friday, May 14. I asked the lady for layers ( I told her to stay under my ears). This lady was not careful and she rushed through it. Now I have layers way past my ear and close to the top of my head. I look so awful. And I just grew out an awful mullet that took me seven months to grow. And I was finally feeling confident. Now it looks almost exactly the same. It blows my mind how a “professional “ can do this to someone. I was planning on going out for events during summer. Now I have to cancel them and wear hoodies everywhere I go.

I know I appreciate a quick and to the point tutorial versus a lengthy one. I can’t tell you how many videos I’ve came across from various channels where there’s simply a ton of unnecessary talking & a lot of times the uploader/person speaking, gets so off topic that their audience tends to lose interest. I completely got my hair fucked up a week ago showed the barber a picture of a mid fade I wanted and told him to trim it afterwards. He trimmed it uneven on purpose. This video is super helpful I have a lot of uneven parts on top and that's what I tell the stylist to find the shortest hair strands and follow along go straight across with the scissors not up and down it's hard to find a hair stylist that will listen and give you what you're asking for at least in my area it is love this video 💇🙏🏾

I've had three different stylus in the last three four months at Great Clips in Dundalk Maryland and none of them had cut my hair this way and this is what I say every time I want them to do so maybe I'm going to have to show them this video the next time I go because they're not using the scissors the way he is this exactly what I want done to my hair using the scissors to go straight across to give you that nice even cut to give you that beautiful one length look I always say I don't want my Liars anymore I've had one bad experience and it's taken me years to try to get one length and it's even harder when the stylus is not giving you what you're asking 💇

Question: why not section horizontally on the sides next to to ears parallel to the hairline as you follow across the head and take small sections to cut? Wouldn't you find the length easily?I started cutting my own hair. I want to learn how to do it right at home. I Follow tutorials from KZbin like yours and other professionals. What happens of you cut top too short. I cut top too short and it's not blending and I'm afraid to try to even it. Looks like on my right side there is a few short pieces if hair, but when lift it up, it looks even, cause it's straight across om top, but it's not blending, and I did go around and did a dusting om whole head. So now I feel I may have to use the shorter pieces as a guide and just go shorter on whole head. I don't want to cut whole head of a short cut. I just want to even top. What should I do on top. Oh my goodness my hair is so uneven it's getting better but every time I go to the salon I come home just like he said and there are still so many parts are not cut correctly and it is because of my haircut but I tell them I want all my layers gone I know it's going to be a process to get my hair back to one length I haven't even colored my hair in over a year so like my natural Brown is coming back I'm just really hoping to find a good hair stylist in my local area that can try to help me and achieve where I'm trying to get my hair too. If you’re tipping so much, take your time and take a comb out and check it like you would at home. I even take a white towel from home to put on to check the length because the black apron is the same color as my hair. Once you comb out hair at your neck that shows there unevenness the girl will usually do another go over.

She did not only cut the layers all wrong, very thin on the bottom, also burned a lot of my hair with the curler. So I had to cut it all off myself at the back ....its terrible. This video helped me a little bit. I went to 3 hairdressers after it and no one could help me. Thats when I start cutting myself and it is very very difficult at the back! I asked my mum to cut my hair. Big mistake. My left side is at my cheek and my right is just slightly below my chin and may i just add the “layering” at the back means in every way to sunday, those hair strands bounce up cause they are too short to actually layer. The left side that is too short ALSO does that meaning its a tunnel that looks through those strands of hair. No matter how much i flatten it they bounce and no matter how much i try to clip it or tie it back they come out. Ugh she’s my mother but god i hate her after this.
