LoL. You are not alone! I did the "Unicorn method " cut. Love it! A neighbor, who is in her 70's (with jet black (dyed) hair, told me I "look younger" with layered hair. Honestly, long, straight, blunt cut hair was easier to maintain. The upside is, after layering, my hair is now wavy!!!

Hey Sam. Thanks so much for this video. The instructor is great too. Makes things so easy to understand. I just completed the choppy layer hair cuz on my instructor at hair school. She said I completed it perfectly. However I hated, hated the look of the choppiness. I didn’t even think to point cut those end angles how the instructor did in this video. Instead I went in and took about 20 min and texturized the entire hair cut again. And got the end results that I wanted. Thanks for this video. They are extremely helpful.

I legit went to the most high quality hair salon in my city and they made my hair literally like the mannequin but with more intense choppy layers! I went to another hair salon and asked if they could fix it to make it more like a 80s blowout hair, which is what I actually wanted in the other salon. She said it wasn’t possible but she could make something with her skills. With my last experience I refused and I’m probably booking to see another hairstylist.

It’s quite surprising that alot of stylists are not good at cutting and then blending. I have only found two people so far that can cut and blend correctly. With the price they charge they should be required to have this basic skill before they even start as a stylist.

Jesse, thank you so much for this tutorial. I love my Invisiblend shears but there aren’t very many tutorials on their use. If you could make one on blending children’s fine blond hair I believe that would really show where the Invisiblend really works miracles. Nothing else works like it does.

I'm already having ideas to "fix" the hairs I cut wrongly, I don't have anyone to cut my hair for me and there's no hairdresser near me so I rely on my blurry eyesight, kitchen scissors, shaking hands, faulty thinning scissors I bought online, and my plastic bathroom mirror that I'm pretty sure bends in the middle causing my reflection to be inaccurate😀 good luck to me y'all I'm trying to get a proper haircut for Christmas.
